But in which case, why would I ever take up space carrying around any beginners skill book? I'm sure I'm missing something. :)
Now, hit "L" on your keyboard and your skill list will come up. That multiplier will flash on and off. It's really good to check that just in case you forgot to read a book.
You cannot read books "in advance", though (as in, if you're level 2 carpentry, you can't read the level 7-8 book (expert) and get a multiplier for when you get to that level).
