What's the deal with VHS - Home?

I keep finding these VHSs called VHS - Home in places where you find VHSs but they don't seem to do anything and don't show up in the Training Materials page. What's the deal with them?

According to PZwiki, "Home VHS's" spawn uniquely (once per VHS title) and feature a variety of pre-apocalyptic scenarios such as birthday parties, weddings, sports recordings, and general lore. A few work as skill tapes, adding XP for some skills not covered by retail tapes."

No there's literally a VHS called "VHS - Home"

It doesn't show up in either the VHS or Home VHS Training Material pages and you cannot put it in a TV that can take VHS tapes

Sounds to me like it is either bugged or a leftover from previous versions.

There's also "VHS - Amateur". My guess is that these are the categories that are supposed to randomly turn into a specific VHS, but for some reason sometimes they don't.

VHS - Home is simply a blank VHS. Like a blank DVD-RW for those who were born this millenium.

Yeah, i came across a VHS tape called "VHS Home" and i couldn't watch it, no idea what it's for, maybe a developer oversight?

It is the 18+ version.

I'm playing on a multiplayer server and i have noticed that this "VHS - Home" will randomly turn into another VHS or Home VHS tape when either i log off and back on or i go far away and come back. Anyone else noticed this? I put them in a container by themselves now to see what they turn into.

No, I haven't. On the server me and my friends are on we have a giant collection of VHS Tapes and we have quiet a number of the VHS - Home ones. We haven't had any change or anything. They just sit there

unless they're supposed to be home vhs tapes that are blank meant to be used for recording. A system that's not in place yet as far as I know.

I'm playing on a multiplayer server where a sack I placed now dupes 3 boxes of 9mm ammo and two of my trophy items every time I leave the chunk. It also dupes two pancakes in the oven.

That's not saying anything.

if I'm not mistaken the VHS called VHS HOME are a bug they were supposed to have a title I saw it in a bug report if I'm not mistaken on the TIS forum 3 4 months ago the guy thinks I forgot the name but the pineapple replied that they weren't supposed to be like this, it's a bug, it was for you a title not only if VHS HOME I think

a and pineapple is pandora he or she is quality control


if it's not just VHS that someone record and corrupt the tape and then he or she leave it on the shelf forever

It sounds like a bugged item, or like some are saying it's intended to be a blank VHS you can record over, though I don't think "VHS - HOME" is a good name, though can't say I know a lot about VHS.

Do you have any mods that may of caused this?
