Do items despawn?
I've decorated my base with items "placed" (basically on the ground). Will my items on the ground despawn?

What about the items in my containers? Will they despawn after a certain amount of time as well?

After awhile, yes. In containers, everything is safe.
Items you have set with the "Place Item" Mod stay as well.

They will not despawn if they place, in sandbox menu u have list where u can make list with removable items or whitelist and defend this loot from despawn if it was just dropped like zombie attacked u and ur clothing dropped on the ground u run away and ur cloth despawned after somewhile

in default settings only a bunch of zero protection cloths are set to despawn.
