guess I take soft skin and devote myself to lumberjack to remind that I must not hurt and live in the woods
Most of my bites came from a single attack.
I trying to turn it into my base and got myself timing wrong when trying to kill zed on my feet before another one got up completely. (i was day dream again) It hit me but it was a scratch and am not infected except the wound itself is infected...yeah I guess I stick with my soft skin if thick skin not gonna work and give me stright bite
I hope I manage to deal with horde that somehow spawn in front of gas station with school backpack dude
there were like 5 zeds there before then i off to loot abit and came back like 80 title away, 2 in game hours and they already become larger horde with like 11 with 1 dude backpack
It's best to have a quiet area as a prepping/fall back point, then start taking risks if you really want to secure a gas station, fire station, police station etc etc etc.
Zomboid death mechanics are mostly RNG. With clothes, you have a chance that they'll take a bite on your clothing instead of your flesh, cuts/lacerations have a chance of killing you or not, and so on. For many that does take some of the fun away, especially those who don't like the idea of having their hours long progress at the mercy of a dice roll.
in the end of the day clothing makes those chances of getting hurt more favorable, which naturally lead to less "will i be zombofied now?" rolls
I personally play without infections and multihit, seems to bring the most enjoyment. The only ways of dying are bleeding out or eaten alive, which considering my lack of skill, are fairly often.
If you wanna go mod route but still make it bit hard for yourself.
It is working on being fixed, if the risk of that is too much for you, then by all means disable bites. I'm wishywashy on it right now.
third playthrough and skip the gas station one because I wanna try big city this time
and another first strike of their is bite and because I cant see them through all building stuff when I try to get to barraicde house and can not make out the sound where zeds is when there already one in the house that I trying to get into to watch TV before countiune looting
I will turn this game to Left 4 Dead
screw the franking bite
well, I will play Left 4 Dead now with all them runner
But what can you do?
1. Start a new game in the same world and hunt down your old character for the gear.
2. Simply turn off transmission in Sandbox settings and don't be afraid to Set up a Left4Dead-style sandbox. Especially, since with multiplayer there will be de-sync or latency issues.
3. Install Antibodies mod if you want to include an immunity build up system (it depends on traits and moodles to determine if you get zombified or not), I love this one, because it may affect which traits you choose and how you stockpile your supplies, you get a sickness debuff and your water consumption goes through the roof.
It's a game, you're supposed to have fun with it.
