Report a translation problem
Foraging gets much better as you work with the system and get higher skill level. Discarding items you don't want gets you the experience for finding it.
Note that you can scavenge in urban areas and forested areas for different loot tables. Clicking the magnifying glass and hovering on the scene displayed on the UI will show you what your chances are of finding certain goods.
Sneaking increases chances to find things, and wearing headgear decreases chances. Take off masks, hats, and glasses to increase chances!
Time of day, season, and weather affect chances too. Thunderstorm at night in the late fall (pre-winter) wearing a welding mask means you probably won't find ♥♥♥♥.
