Going to give that a big no. If you get bit, go out on a zombie killing rampage.
options are never a bad thing
Add 2 and 2 together and you get the fun of blasting a hundred zombies with a shotgun before dying. Might aswell go out with a blaze of glory.
This. In most zombie lore bites are fatal and therefore it is here too.
If you enable chopper event to come every now and then you will learn to appriciate guns.
when in the middle of nowhere the chopper brings to your base a thousand zeds...because it can? (Hovered for over 8 hours over my base)
Guns can help you to thin out the new neighbours, at least to the level where you can dispose of the remaining one or two hundred via melee.(Also the gun will make sure you can be sure that your place returned to be the middle of nowhere haven it used to be.)
Besides, we don't need more risk removed from what is supposed to be a tough survival game. The reason we can continue playing in an established world with a new character is because we are supposed to die. If you're regularly finding yourself in a position where you're getting bitten by zombies, then you're not playing very well. Learn to use stealth and back away when the risk is too high, instead of steaming into a horde with a bread knife and expecting to come out unscathed.
