Anyone else having an issue with zombie corpses not decaying?
I am almost certain it has to do with a mod I'm running, since I haven't seen any other discussions calling this out.

I've killed somewhere on the order of 3,000-6,000 zombies and the ones from the very beginning (July start) are still around (Late November). It's fine burning the ones around my base (albeit a little tedious) but the further out from my base I go the less I care to be bothered by that. I've killed over a thousand at the mall alone, and there's still a massive horde there; I won't be burning all that.

I'm going to go check my mods again; I feel like I'm running a mod that is missing a dependency and the server just isn't complaining. I noticed that if you start the server without the right dependencies the server still starts anyway. For the first few in game months I noticed there were no axes in the game, which seemed to be caused by that, so I'm thinking this probably has to be similar.

I'm running a dedicated server, and the mods on it are:
Skill Recovery Journal
Antibodies (v1.21)
Attach Items to Backpacks (build 41)
BookCollection V10.5
Eggon's Have I Found This Book???
FitnessGains XP Mod
Irrigation pipes for farming and water supply [B41+]
More Description for Traits
Quit Smoking
Weapon Condition Indicator [41.60+]
Mod Options (Build 41)
Advanced G.E.A.R. - Build 41.60+
Eggon's Modding Utils
Item Tweaker API - Still works in Build 41
Player Traps Mod
G.E.A.R. - GRAPHIC EQUIPMENT APPEARANCE RIG (GEARBASIC, GEARCORE)

Oh my god, I just found in my server settings:
HoursForCorpseRemoval = -1.0,

This was never the default before, how come the default is no -1? And in fact, I'm fairly certain I looked at this setting and saw a normal number of hours when I was first setting up the server after B41 was released.

Good to know. Thanks!

This is one the settings I quickly put to bed -- 36-48 hours. Zombies easily spawn faster than they decay (in 9 days, I can kill off upwards of 1000 or so zombies), and dead zombies don't count against population caps, which means the number of corpses will just keep ballooning until the game runs out of memory. Particularly since they still have a full list of equipment (whatever you leave behind stays with the corpse) along with their individual 'injury' properties (bandaged wounds and gnawed-on bits). Zombie corpses do not have a small memory footprint. There's a noticeable stutter when you approach a few hundred or so corpses in one location (to say nothing of trying to interact with anything around a pile of zombies that size).
