Outdoorsman?
I've checked wiki and reddit and pretty much i cant really tell if the trait is worth taking since you can just wear proper clothes to keep yourself warm or undress if it's too hot, unless there's something more to this trait that i fail to understand.

It's just two points but still i wonder what people have to say about it.

It is two points well spent or its a waste.

It greatly reduces the chances of damaging your clothes or hurting yourself when running through Harvey Tree Oswald

I'm a newb, but I gotta say I'm loving it. Weather means nothing, at any time. I made my base in a way that I am outside when doing stuff, like working on cars, cooking, farming, reading books, meandering through loot boxes, repairing stuff, building stuff, whatever. It can rain, snow, fog, w/e, no effect, and since I'm outside there is never boredom or depression when doing base stuff. It completely knocked out the tedium.

As far as non-base, loot runs and exploration, rain is my favorite thing, as it keeps me cool so I can wear full armor at all times. Wet means nothing. Can't get sick. Can't get soaked, so no drying myself, ever.

I can run right into the woods at full burn w/o an issue, and lose any threat, should my weapons break, or w/e.

It's one of my favorite traits thus far.

Definitely not a waste. It basically makes you immune to weather related illness. Running around outside while wet can often give you a cold, which sucks. I like being well protected, but thick clothes are also great insulators so I usually run around sweating like a race horse. I would catch colds left and right if not for this perk. For 2 points, it's a steal, especially considering the rest of the 2 point perks.

I can recommend the trait if you don't intend to spend all your time in a city. The not getting sick part is not worth the points but I highly value not getting cut into pieces by trees.

I can attest to the usefulness of Outdoorsman as well. Worrying very little about tree scrapes, getting a cold (which is worse than it sounds since the sneezes attract nearby zombies), and the small boost to foraging radius are great, and for only 2 points.

You still can get cold by being wet. Outdoorsman is working with temperature/wind only. Just it's a different levels of wetness when you're sweaty and under the heavy rain.

It just reduces global cold chance by 90%. It doesn't matter the source. I use it and walk around in the rain and/or wet clothes (from rain, sweat, washing, etc) all the time and still haven't caught a cold while using the trait because the chance is so low.

Afaik it does not do that. (Unless they changed the trait since 41.60)
If you got not damaged then you were just lucky. (Lumberjack and Park ranger trait does that.)

It reduces your chances of getting cold, or being affected by the weather.
When you reach winter it can get really cold, as in without a campfire, or stove, you will freeze to death even while fully clothed and in a house. (-9 celsius on a house was my lowest.)
With outdoorsman you can survive this, also you have less chance of getting heat stroke or hypothermia. Not to mention when you get wet, less likely to get ill as well.

Per the wiki (which fits my experience, I used to get scratched all the time in trees prior to using the perk):
10% chance of catching a cold.
1% or 1.25% chance of getting scratched/lacerated while Walking or Running through trees.
Start a fire on campfires with Notched Plank faster.
Affects search mode

It is also my undestanding that outdoorsmans nearly eliminates the risk of getting hurt by trees. But that's the tricky part about trait. The game dosen't give you all the information, each update can change them and the wiki entrie might get outdated from time to time.

Without testing or data mining is there no way to be sure.

True. However, in my experience using Outdoorsman, I continue to not be injured by trees and when not using it I frequently get scratches.

Honestly, it kinda is. Especially if you plan on living in the wilderness. It's still extremely useful if you're going to live in the city though

Sunday driver is the same just malus wise. It is a very harsh malus. for 1 point.
Your fuel consumption gets boosted by like 2.5, you cannot really tow cars, and going off the road is end of the line for that car (until you build a road under it:D).
