Blood wont transmit you the zombie infection

Still, blood / dirty clothes are supoosed to have an effect on infecting wound (normal infection...curable)
Havent really seen it...or the effect is very small

From what has been alleged. Having bloody clothing increases the chances of an open wound contracting an infection. A regular viral infection, not the zombie virus.

Furthermore, bloody clothing apparently makes it easier for zombies to detect and track you.

My first character did not survive a zombie bite, even with antibiotics.

My 2nd character never washed or cleaned clothes. She got infected from a multiple scratches and other wounds. Sleeping in a bed that filthy should soil the sheets and make it disgusting.

So far my 3rd character has survived multiple lacerations, scratches & another wounds (dont remember what it was called, wasnt a bite). No antibiotics or other meds. Just washing my char before sleeping when bloody and all the cloths when it they get bad. I also used a pot with boiled water to make sterilized bandages instead of rags.

But now he's having trouble with high stress levels, it just keeps coming back even when nothing seems to be causing it. lol

So, i ahve no clue what PZ's math says about blood being infectious, but from my experience so far I kinda lean on the side that says, maybe it does.

Bites are always 100% to get the Knox Virus, lacerations are 25% and scratches 7%. There's no amount of antibiotics that'll save you once you are bitten. xXx

ofc it didn't, antibiotics don't cure the zombie infection, it even says as much in it's tooltip...

The really important part when you are wounded is to disinfect the wound and to apply clean / sterilized bandages and reapply new ones as soon as needed
Disinfection only need to be done once

Now, if you contracted the zombie virus (bites and some % of scratches / lacerations), you are dead

Don't worry. Most of us can be helpful, hence some of us giving you stats and hints as to what the different injuries do. Others just presume that everyone knows the ins and outs of every game, so can be a bit more abrupt. I tend to just ignore those people, as they find it difficult to help others. 😉👍🏻 xXx

There's been some forum discussion regarding infections and the negative traits hypochondriac, prone to illness and slow healer.

Several people are stating that after suffering a scratch, they can get sick enough to die from the sickness despite not contracting the zombie virus.

Stay healthy fellows.

No, they aren't. Bites have a 95% chance to give you zombie infection, not 100%...

Not anymore, it had a 96% chance to kill you and that was a bug

I actually wish that the chance was 99%... atleast it would give us hope... false hope but still... hope.
Ficelle Oct 27, 2019 @ 6:55am
Yep, not a fan of 100% lethal bites either

With no hope at all to salvage the character, once bitten, it is just exit and delete save
Even with 1% chance, it would be worth trying

At this point in the game, you should just avoid getting hit all together. It’s too dangerous and risky now. I’m on a week long character at the moment and he hasn’t been hurt by a zombie once. The only wounds I’ve sustained is from me driving around like an idiot when I got a bit too happy about finding a working car lol.
