But if you want exclusive loot then its still there in the form of adept weapons, flawless shader, and flawless weapon and armor glows.
Trials isn't an exclusive club, Lighthouse is. Y'know, like how it always has been.
And you betcha that if all the blueberries left trials and it really was skilled players only, we would see trials die again, like it was for the first year or so.
People just have tunnel vision with these kinda of things I guess.

i do. I just never enjoyed it like i do pvp. People constantly say "i want my time rewarded"
But imo trials was the pinnacle of reward vs time. You dont get instant gratification and i find children and entitled adults (or still children) to be upset by that. Theyre facing players and not bots that stand in one spot and shoot. There is no bigger challenge. and now, to me, its ruined by those same people who think they need constant rewards just because, instead of working hard to actually feel that reward. Knowing not many people could have done what you did, in order to get said weapon.
ive talked to my pvp buddies about it who also said "maybe try raids" but they agree. getting a trials weapon will never feel like an accomplishment now. which was the only thing keeping me coming back. now it just feels like a hand out. I feel no different from any other player, as any other player can do a raid.
If don't like the hand outs and then feel free to sweat with 2 other people and play "actual" trials going flawless against other 3v3 teams and get that adept loot and cosmetics to stand out from the casuals.
If you really just don't feel like playing anymore then don't, I get that you feel like your time was wasted and its not worth playing anymore but you're also kind of gate keeping.
I do understand the sort of prestige around being a trials playing and getting that loot though. My most played seasons for trials were season 11, 12, and 13 (height of stasis meta) when the games were full of recoveries, carries, and cheaters. When battle-eye and the trials rework came around in season 14 the mode lost a lot of its luster in my eyes simply due to the fact that you were less of a distinguished player for going flawless and having that loot at that point. There was never really a question as to whether or not trials was better since it became more rewarding, and accessible than it ever was before that point, but the luster of a high end mode was lost a bit. The conclusion I came to at the end of the day was that it was ultimately healthier for the the mode to be this way and that I'd need to find a different measuring stick for pvp skill. Personally I think guided glorious and the ascendant emblems have taken that place for me now.
