I mean i understand your frustration, since star wars is owned by Disney they probably had to shell out a bunch of money to them to use "Star Wars" stuff. Makes sense from a companies perspective also to charge people money for a game thats essentially free. If everything was completely free, they wouldnt be able to pay the developers to or artists to actually keep making the game. Average salary of bungie employees range from $56,000.00 per year to $340,000.00 per year. How are they supposed to keep an art department, or developer to 3d model new weapons or skins if everything is free? I know for me at least, I wouldnt work all year for nothing? They are hoping that people who have jobs and play the game also love star wars and are willing to spend 20.00 on a skin. Micro transactions make up a lot of expenses as far as a salary goes, i am sure. This is all a guess though, so i could also be completely wrong on everything! Maybe everyone at bungie does everything completely free, and doesnt expect a salary. At which point i would say I completely agree with your frustration!!

It has certainly lasted well beyond what they said back then. You nor I can say whether this game will die or not, we have no real clue what is coming, we can only guess. I didn't know how to find player count in 2018, that was before Steam, but the rants of the game is dead/dying were there.

I personally don't care what you or anyone else thinks about the game, I will play the game as long as I enjoy playing the game, "the game is dying" has no effect on me, sadly many read things like that and leave. If the game dies, people like you might have helped.

Edit: Thanks for the Steam points, I may actually use them one day. LOL
