Is Nether bugged?

I'm into my part 2/3, and its in this room with a piston and a rune door. I've only found 1/6 runes and every other secret in the room. top floor, bottom floor, ceiling limit. Are they missing spawns? I've been at this for at least 45 min, so if I missed these then either they're out of bounds or hidden behind a paywall. I'm fine with being wrong here, but this is kinda silly to not have something like a help marker after spending 45min or more in ONE room.

i couldnt find a single one i searched for about 30 minutes. its bugged in heaps of ways. my super and transendence didnt work multiple times and my guns would go invisible and loose audio. enemies would randomly have insane health pools, its just a buggy mess

Yeah, it's really not clear that this is the solution, but destroy the orange sacs, as you destroy them taken will spawn in that room

What do I need to be able to go to the nether? Do I need the season pass?
