When the F Osiris did came back from the Savathun death ?
Hi folks

I come back from the game after stopping it right about season 15 (when we learn Savathun took place in Osiris body).
i've made all campaign from the Red War up to the Witch Queen, and I know the most important things from seasonal content from Season 1 up to 15.

Sooooo, I've just finished the Witch Queen campaign (very nice boss fight at the end of it BTW), and when I start Lightfall campaing, Osiris is back here, without Light.

But in the "chronology tab" in game (where there is a summary of each extension and each season), nowhere it is written when nor why Osiris came back.

So, question : when did he came back ?
I have done Preservation mission and collected the relative lore, I have done the Parasite Exo mission quest and some other, and nothing about Osiris.
I haven't done the raid nor the donjons yet, but it seems it doesn't talk about him, but more about Calus, the Leviathan and all.

Do you have video about that to recommend, or know what in game lore I have to read (to much of it in 3 years to read everything at once) please ?

It happened during the season. After every major expansion, 4 seasons are released and when a new expansion comes out - the past 4 seasons are removed from the game. Some genius at Bungie decided it would be a brilliant idea to add important story events to the seasons. As a result, not only does the game now have no beginning, the entire remaining story is literally riddled with holes.

It's not exactly my question, I know that Bungie have this kind of pratices.

My question is rather "what is the lore reason of his return" like idk "oh, we went on Y mission killing Y monster in Z season and he came back to life", or, at least "in what season did this happen, so I could watch youtube video about that"

As a player that have done the Red War campaign, yes, indeed, I know they cut content, or I wouldn't overwise talk about those cut extensions and seasons content ^^"

soooooo, it was in the season 19 end content then ?

I understand (maybe not approve but understand) the cut content, but they could at least integrate the cinematics of each start and end of seasons in the "chronology tab".

The game can be good, but I don't think new player can enjoy and stay on the game if crucial elements of the campaing are not present. And every MMO need new players to keep the numbers at an enjoyable level.
*If you want* you can do ALL content of WoW since 2007 (for a 2004 game); yes it can be overwhelming BUT, a new player can learn almost everything, at least

He is back because during Season of the Plunder, we were teaming up with Mithrax and his daughter Eido to find and recover the remains of Nezerac.

Eventually we did find all of the remains and Mithrax made them into a tonic that brought Osiris out of his coma Savathun had left him in after she left his body.

Thanks !
I thought it was maybe a troll because of the mention of Tonics (and BC how they are hated ^^"), but it's really that.
I found these website (that I didn't knew about) that list this videos containing the story of this season, so it's perfect !

There even are cinematics and tales of D1, that's cool !
They clearly should include that in game, I hope they'll do that someday

He goes into a magic coma in the season right before WQ.
One of the WQ seasons revolves around getting Nezarec's magical MacGuffin to un-coma Osiris.
Osiris, out of a coma, discovers neomuna in the Spire of the Watcher dungeon.
We kill Nezarec in Lightfall so the usage of his MacGuffin has 0 consequences.

It actually did have Consequences as interacting with the remains of Nezarec to cure Osiris cursed Mithrax in the process.

Nezarec's curse was always going to be a thing and this season it fit into the narrative: https://youtu.be/2dtbWCUecx8?si=KkwxXYB6X49AyQ4Q
