Solipsism Without Dual Destiny

Is there any known way for a new / returning player without ever having completed Dual Destiny to get a Solpsism these days? I know you were able to get one during an event a while back but that event is now over and I didn't know if any other methods were available as of right now. I need it for a build. Thanks!

UPDATE:

Not that anyone cares...but I finally incentivized someone to help me run it for the first time. Cleared it first try with a regular competent human being and not some random. It's a shame that's what it came to but hopefully now as things get more current, I won't have to worry about things like that. Thanks for all the suggestions. Now, onto getting a roll I can actually use (Necrotic / Synthoceps hopefully).

No, but the mission takes like 30 minutes and the pre-quest isn't long either

do it literally once and you can farm them in the pale heart or buy them from xur

Why is it not an option? Its not a hard mission, a little complicated at first but watch a guide and its basically a long strike mission with a pointless timer.

The two friends left that play the game have already done it and have no interest in doing it ever again. I tried a few hours with randoms and that's also not something I'm willing to do anymore or ever again. No offense meant to the broader Destiny 2 playerbase, of course but I didn't have a single positive experience. Which is all OK. I realize I'm the odd man out and haven't played since 2021 so I'll just get in where I fit in. I could very well be the problem just as much as I perceived the players I paired with to be.

Either way, no big deal. I'll just have to do without until something changes or I figure out another build or something. I appreciate the insight. Maybe there will be other methods or other things I would be more interested in when the new stuff comes out in July.

It does, not sure if you can just grab it without having to do the dual destiny mission first.

Nothing to do with ranks as far I know. Opening chests on pale heart has a chance to drop the exotic class item but bungie did reduced the drop chance when people used macros to automate the chests on the pale heart.

* You do have to unlock the class item first before it starts dropping from chests.

I checked, it is indeed true, you need to have the item unlocked in your collection. Well, that's dumb. It's an item from a year old mission, who cares? It was dumb to add such an important item to an exclusively co-op mission in the first place. Just give people the option to buy at least one class item, not that Xur sells it for cheap price.

...its an exotic. Co-op missions are hard (that one was). I also care.
