Shooting Range needs a higher ceiling
To be clear, and for those who aren't aware: bungie announced they are planing on adding a shooting range and showed some game play from one the the builds that has the shooting range in it
https://youtu.be/P-7On9pcEoY

Now I'm not sure if this is the build we will be getting or if things are still being changed or what is happening, but I felt the need to point out that based on this build there would be some issues using certain abilities and weapons and they mostly stem from the ceiling being to low for said abilities and weapons to be effective for testing in the confined space that is available.

First: The Exotic Rocket Launcher "Deathbringer", this Rocket Launcher has a trait: "Dark Decent: The further a Void orb falls, the more powerful it's detonation becomes" So it should be immediately clear that this should be considered if any changes are to be made if we ever get a point where Deathbringer becomes a meta weapon or receives any buffs in the future.

Next: The Linear Fusion Rifle "Finality's Auger", now it should be ok with the the build they showed, but it would also benefit for a higher ceiling. Additionally if your aware the Enemy AI likes to hide behind cover at times, if there was a way to summon in cover it would be helpful to not only improve This weapon but other weapons to like Hard Light, (having the floor be the only surface isn't the best for hard light)

Lastly: The Titian Super Ability "Fist of Havoc", so I realize its no longer in the description, but at one point FoH use to do additional damage based on how high you slammed from. What ever the state my be things might change, they might add it back, it might get a exotic armor that dose that, the point is it's worth considering.

So how high should the Ceiling be? I don't know for sure but I think a safe bet would be enough for Deathbringer to do maximum damage without the Catalyst. Why without? You shouldn't be required to have the catalyst to test optimally, all you should need is the weapon you want to test.

Edit: Do you think we'll have access to weapon crafting from the shooting range? I don't think people will tolerate going back and forth to test each permutation on there weapons.

Please Lord have them add a giant boss to test rotations on...
Just makes sense. Even being able to test things as simple as airborne effectiveness or practicing getting higher floats with Manticore. I'm picturing something the size of the kind of average highschool gym in a gentrified Midwest suburb. Don't know what the square footing would be, I'm a Hunter not a Warlock.

Its already higher than you can jump/glide in most cases do we really need to change it for just for Deathbringer which is such a niche weapon?

The meta can change any update, nobody use to use Queen Breaker, now its seeing use frequently. If Deathebringer, got a buff in the future it would be tough to test the changes with a low ceiling.

Still a single niche weapon and Greg, Carl, and Templar still exist.

Also bold to assume a buff wouldn't remove the height requirement. ;-)

Deathbringer has some of the highest damage in the game, but those numbers only exist theoretically, because the particles from the explosion constantly de-spawn, especially in teams. Unless they somehow uncap that, it's literally impossible to damage bosses with the weapon since 90% of the projectiles aren't even hitting.

I miss Greg (Greg isn't around any more). In any case DeathBringer is only an example as the game dose feature some height based damage.
