Size of the game

Its registering as 143 gbs on steam. After a little research, one site was claiming that on steam its trying to install two versions of the game, but once you start playing the game it goes back to one version. It didnt make sense except for the fact I got 688 hours on Destiny 2 and previously I did not need this much space for it. Is there any one who can clarify how to get a work around on this? Or even why destiny 2 is suddenly requiring 143 gbs?

It’s a big game with a lot of content, including high very high resolution graphics. Stuff like that is bound to take up a lot of space.


If you’re struggling for space, consider getting a larger storage device and/or delete software you no longer use.

yeah it sucks, when i had to redownload the game it took 6 to 10 hours

It took this long to download the game initially in 2023.

Assuming this piece of tech, does not get stolen this time, I do have 2 TBs on the way. Should solve the problem, but figured id ask anyways. Thank you for time in responding.

A) there is a lot of content

B) the "double install" was for some expansions that pre-loaded the new version of the game and when it was time decrypted, installed, deleted old version.

The "dual install" is for pre-downloads of big DLCs that massively impact the files of the game, normal install is just one version.
