Is stasis worth it? I hear its super grindy D:
So I finished BL campaign and got the exotic pulse rifle and never touched beyond light. I moved to witch queen and idk about unlocking stasis.. for my characters.
So is it worth the grind or I should just skip and get strand subclass?

unlocking all of strand is almost as grindy, just less quest driven. so, i'd say that's entirely up to you, but stasis has its uses in pvp and pve, very great at CC

The process of getting it is boring.
But In my opinion it's worth it just to have it unlocked, since this game is all about space magic.
Also as a stasis enjoyer I find it fun running different stasis builds even if they are a bit week at the moment.

its not very difficult to unlock at all, i unlocked it in a few hours

working on that grind as we speak, and yes it certainly is a grind, but it is also a very fun spec!

Honestly depends what you are, my first was hunter and my enjoyment of just the baseline was lackluster to the point it almost turned me off the subclass altogether.....but did the quest on my warlock and I'm having more fun with it than I did with strand and that was loads of fun and more than willing to do the grind for it now.

So it might just be a person to person thing, if you dont enjoy the base kit with the class move on.

BL takes like 2 hours to finish on each character, and its the only campaign i really enjoyed doing tbh,
as for stasis, the fragments are shared between characters but youll have to do some tedious quests for the aspects/ grenades. after you've done that though, its really fun and not actually that much work.
once you've done the stasis quests, you grab 2 weeklies from the stranger, (this is the real pain) and get some fragments.
i think weeklies never expire and you can keep stacking them so yeah.

strand is really boring to grind, although you can accidentally do it by starting the winterbite quest and being efficient (itd take about 4 hours to max strand out from nothing)

Only thing I would recommend you do is pick 2 Vanguard quests for fragments as getting super kills in Gambit/Crucible will be rough. Even in strikes, for example with Warlock, only the left mouse kills while in super count towards the quest while that energy burst kills on right click does not count.
Also make sure you switch grenades to fulfill shatter or freeze req faster, also ability recovery mods in your armor depending on what you have remaining on the quests.

just been doing my first batch of weeklies, yeah the super kills was a giant pain. Some other kind souls pointed me to using the Agers Scepter as my exotic weapon though and it makes the slow and then kill / freeze enemies very fast to get through, the thing is a monster for stasis.

The most boring part is the one in Gambit when you have to use your super. That is a grind.

You can do 2 Vanguard, I messed up first week and took 2 separate quests but next week figured out you can do 2 of the same type so it became slightly easier.

Edit: Also, do NOT delete the quest if you don't like the requirements as you won't be able to pick it up again for that week meaning you loose one and extend the grind to additional week. Don't ask how I know. Lol

Look up some builds and focus on specific ones. It's not too bad if you're just getting what you need.
Mez Koo Mar 30, 2023 @ 9:34am
You might as well, it's a weekly thing and if it becomes the seasonal focus next season you'll be kicking yourself thinking "I should've done it." Just avoid the crucible and gambit objectives.

i hope it does, im having so much fun playing it as a warlock i want it to simply be stronger.... not that it isnt performing well on low tier nightfalls and BGs

Not that grindy in my opinion, but also not that relevant in a burst DPS meta.
