Anyone have any good guides for getting better at PvP / Crucible?
Other than just playing and putting in the effort to learn through gameplay of course. I used to play comp a lot back in the days of Battlenet but haven't done much crucible since.

I wanna get back into it. So far I know a few common unofficial guidelines such as the 40/60 rule. (40/60 is when you show the least amount of your body possible whilst showing the maximum viewing angle. Basically head glitching.) and peakers rule where if you peak a corner there's a split second delay when you appear on a enemies screen, giving you an advantage. Commonly used for sniping and handcannon triple peaks. Apart from that what's the soft cap and hard caps on stats for PvP? Such as resilience, recovery, etc.

play more, play with better people, a guide is worthless.

Honestly what helped me a lot besides a better pc to put out more than 60 fps was turning my mouse sensitivity down. I used to use a really high dpi and sensitivity as I was used to it but then I realized that I was constantly flicking my shots out of control for pretty much no reason.

I think iirc I have it set to 1000 dpi, 11 game sensitivity, and 0.8 ads modifier where before I used something like 1600 13 and 0.9 and I just had to get used to the decrease.

I play on 500dpi, 12 sens with 1.2 sens modifier for ads. In terms of raw aiming I can hit most of my shots, my main issue is stat allocation, learning the maps better and overall when to push, when to stay put and when to take challenges/peaks.

I disagree. There's plenty of guides to help you get better at the game. There's only so much you can do to improve through training, eventually you need some form of a "mentor" figure to teach you extra tricks that you wouldn't learn through practical gameplay. Not to mention giving you guides on how to better learn movement of classes, etc.

Like how with Hunters you wanna use strafe jump as it gives you the best possible movement maneuverability. But it's also very fast if you use it whilst also using head bops on the map to launch yourself across the map at fast speeds.

Most people won't learn this through normal gameplay outside of accidentally discovering it.
