bandwidth hog?

When my wife plays any of the pvp modes on pc, my ping goes up to about 700 in whatever game I'm on and shortly after. It doesn't do that when she plays on her ps4 but it also disconnects her constantly. Is this normal? Our internet is pretty okay I think. around 20mbit

The 6v6 modes definitely aren't optimized netcode and with 12 person peer to peer it can tangle up less than optimal/stable internet connections or providers.

I'd suggest trying to stick with 6 (ffa or 3v3) or 8 (4v4) player game modes if needed.

if your internet is slow then yes it can be a bandwidth hog. i believe destiny 2 uses around 150mb/hr so with 2 people on at the same time it can probably be pretty laggy. I would suggest getting faster internet (maybe an ethernet cable?) or don't play at the same time.

Gambit is laggy as hell atm, i can hardly hit anything as the mobs are all teleporting

we have the best available in our area until somebody runs fiber through. If 150mb/hr is all it takes then we should be more than ok. Might be on their end how Tantor suggests.
