Is the Solstice armor worth it?

Are there better stats or special effects? Is there any other reason other than aesthetics to grind for this armor?

Yes if you haven't already gotten a set of armor that will last a bit
also if you like the glow from it that is one reason to do it

Would you be specific on high stat rolls? Every armor I have has had higher stats than the ones given to my Solstice armor.

Friend opened 20 solstice boxes today, 0 armor drops.
I've opened 20 boxes aswell, 0 armor drops.
Very nice what seems to be shadow nerf on already low drops.

Did you max out your armour before opening the boxes?
The armour doesnt drop before you do.

i dont think the set is really worth it although it is easier to grind this year aside from trials

But i just did the event then got rid of the armor as i already have 80+ stat armor

and the solstice armor i got was below 60

i also feel like the Solstice boxes hardly drop solstice gear compared to last year

All of the rest I have gone far were 80-88 pts of stats all balanced.

it's a good way to jump your power level in a hurry that doesn't go through the awful leveling method.

Yeah like Sprinkle Taters said, it is useful to increase your power. The armor is 1050 when maxed out. I was like power level 900, so doing it was definitely worth it for that reason. There is no way you would go from 900 to 1050 by normal means in the time it takes to complete the quests for the armor. Then you can just cannibalize it it to make other armor better or whatever.

The armor itself is meh and will just get replaced next season but if you complete the first steps to upgrade the basic armor then you can purchase the glowing ornaments in the eververse shop with bright dust or silver and ornaments can transform any legendary armor's look as much as you want.

It can roll with really high stats. I think I have one with base 65 and I've seen base 69. So it's Raid-alike. And is a lot easier to farm for then raid armors, as in per eaz run you can get some 3-7 boxes etc.

ages ago. Now that I thought about it more I dropped 1 helmet. so 1 in 20 dropped solstice.
