I'm gonna go out on a whim here and say it's a pay to win catty. it says in the description something to go about a quest with Ghost in the Pale Heart. But when I look up guides on how to find it and start the quest, people are just showing where to go to claim it in the Tower if you got the annual pass, which I didn't. So I'm guessing the catalyst is locked behind a MAJOR micro transaction and there is no actual quest tied to the catty...?

Annual pass owners get access to the catalyst of pre-order guns early and then non-annual pass owners get access to it the following season. So it'll unlock for everyone in October when episode 2 releases.

B) everyone gets the catalyst next episode, it is only early access.

There's no way that's pay to win. First of all, it'll be put in the game as a drop eventually. Second, Tessellation isn't good. It's not BAD, but it's nothing you'd use in PvP as your one exotic gun.
