I just hope all these losers using macros to AFK farm doesn't force Bungie to lower the drop rates of exotic class items. :/
Bannable macros are usually just tied to PvP, like ones that quickswap or control recoil. If the macro is just walking and interacting in a single-player instance I seriously doubt you'll get banned.
No, bannable macros almost exclusively apply to PvE. Macros for tricks like snap cancelling or any other movement tech are common and safe, macros for recoil aren't even applicable to destiny since recoil is random and almost non-existent, while bannable macros include any kind of AFK farm or activity auto complete
Edit: Thanks for the Steam points.
How is AFKing and botting a grey area ?
I don't know any live service game that tolerates it as it ruins the game experience for actual players.
They can say "we don't tolerate it" as much as they want but the lack of any actual action is louder.
