Feels like Episode story lines are running in full circle *Spoilers Alert*
I am not going to talk about the narrative, but rather the characters involved. For me, at this point it feels like we are into soap opera mode where same character conflicts are repeated again and again.

Echoes: Whatever The Conductor whispered into Saint will put to a test the love relationship between him and Osiris. Saint is almost convinced that he is not the real person that Osiris love and just a copy we saved from season of Dawn. As I kinda like that, I think we've been trough this for a couple of seasons where Savathun was cosplaying as Osiris. Saint was devastating for losing his friend and now we have the same plot, but the other way around. I don't know what this will bring and if this is the direction of the Episode but at least for Act 1 is just this and knowing how those stories progress I don't think the story wins much of repeating the same drama between them.

Then we got..

Revenant: No need to tell you what is coming. Crow confronts his past, his past mistakes as Uldren, his grief and the whole Scorn thing... all fine, but have not we been past trough this for a couple of seasons already, especially in the season of Haunted. Don't get me wrong, Crow is my favorite character, but I feel like in a dead end with his character. Probably we would have to end Fikrul (yet again) and unless Bungie does not have some fresh idea how to finish this story otherwise - like bringing Fikrul back to the light rather than killing him, that would be an absolute filler with no character progression at all.

Heresy: I hope something interesting here and not just having to fight Xivu or some of her puddles to no general conclusion. Eris would probably be involved and her cringe flirt with Drifter maybe fun, but so far I think everything that can be told here is told.

That does not mean I don't like the story so far. The thing is that everything feels like on full repeat. Why don't we have a season with fresh new character leading the story for us? One of those Episodes could easily be with Micah-10 and the Coyotes. Or Bring back Eido and daddy Mithax so they can finish their story with Eramis (which we completely forgot about her as a character). Everything would be better than Crow confronting his past again, and I don't think it is interesting to see the same characters, going trough their own personal demons and mistakes, again and again, and again.

Man i want more dark "vanguard" stories. Eris and Drifter and Elsie. It feels they got tossed to the side.

As far as I understood Saint was made from a backup of a backup (or so) by Osiris as a sex toy.
So, I do not wonder Saint is going mad after recognizing the truths.
Anything to backup that statement? I've never heard anyone say that before and played during the time of Saint's return and do not remember that at all. I have an idea where you pulled that from though.

The whole "saint isn't real" thing is bs that makes no sense to begin with. He is OUR Saint and always had been and that was the whole point of the Perfect Paradox story and Saint even made it a point to "take the long way around" through time to not mess up the timeline.

Yes indeed, the story of "Saint" is very confusing. I started to play Destiny few months ago and Saint was only that guy I never visited.
Short Version is that Saint 14 went into the Vex's Infinite Forest to find Osiris but couldn't and eventually the Vex managed to kill him and when we went into the Infinite Forest in the Curse of Osiris dlc we found Saint 14's grave and his shotgun The Perfect Paradox. Then fast forward a few years to Season of Dawn where Osiris is trying to find a point in time where he could save Saint 14 and we eventually find him during a Fallen raid and it turns out we gave him the Perfect Paradox to begin with. With the connect of the Perfect Paradox we managed to find the specific moment in time where the Vex were about to kill him and we show up and prevent that and he waits out all that time in the Infinite Forest to meet us our present time.

Par for the course for Bungie's lore

To be fair when you have to condense it down like that it does sound kind of dumb as most quickly explained time travel plots tend to end up but the perfect paradox was a nice little side quest during curse of osiris and imo season of dawn was one of the better seasons and even then Saint 14 was kind of a side plot during that with the main focus being to stop the Red Legion from changing history. Saving Saint 14 was kind of a "well we might as well do it sense we got the time travel."
