yeah. but there are people who don't want to be forced to engage in activities that they have no interest in.
I have an auto rifle that i waited for weeks and weeks on end to appear in Xur's offerings. When it appeared, i was over the moon. and i immediately bought it.
If i didnt get that auto rifle before this currency change, i would have been thoroughly pissed.
So you haven't run Ritual Playlists.
You can't just go to a destination and click Strikes from there. That won't work. Go to Vanguard, click "Strike playlist" and you'll get coins.
honestly, i feel your pain. this change was not required. who even asked for this change?
The biggest issue is the 99 coin cap, but I can see why they went with that.
i can agree, his offerings got a little stale. but no one was really complaining about it.
plus, i actually got a long lost auto rifle from Xur using standard currency, so i was fine with it too.
Destiny 2 in a nut shell is "put up with stuff and do what you need to to get the loot" so if you want the thing then you do the thing same as any other game.
So this leaves us with Glimmer as a vendor currency, which was already used extensively. But oh wait, Xur used Strange Coins in D1, and through Dares we have them back, why not add them back? Sounds like a logical conclusion to me. And they drop quite generously, as others have already pointed out.
Now if they added strange coins as drops from lost sectors, public events, strikes and the like there would be no need to even discuss this but they do NOT.
There is the problem, we did NOT have to do anything special for Xur before, everything from running around the EDZ just killing ♥♥♥♥ to running raids gave legendary shards either directly or in-directly, so why the hell make it difficult to get the currency now? Want to change the currency go right ahead but make it just as accessable as it was previously, as it stands now that couldn't be further from the truth.
