IS FOMO STILL BAD?
Hi,

I played Destiny 2 few years back, I enjoyed my time, but the problem was the story was hacked into pieces, lot of missing content which was deleted by the devs to make room for new dlc's, also certain weapons were gone etc. Is FOMO still bad, because if I pay for a DLC I want to keep playing it, not be in fear that Bungie is going to take it away in few months.

P.S. How is PVP? Has it gotten worse or better?

Thanks!

They don't vault expansion content anymore but seasons still get removed at the end of the expansion year. So if you're buying the DLCs (outside of the annual pass) available right now you should be fine.

PvP is better imo as there are less abilities and less special ammo.

Seasons stay until the end of the year, so 3-12 months each. Some of said seasonal activities are added as strikes to the main playlist after they are removed. DLCs no longer go away.

Yes, there is a limited time event that gives amazing loot and eventually a black shader but it they're removing it in about a month. And before the overwhelming backlash the event was only going to be fully active for 2 weeks...

The weapons and onslaught itself aren't going anywhere though. The only thing being removed are the limited edition variants and the ability to attune to a particular weapon. All the actual content and gear is staying in game or is going to return at a later date.

No, EVERYTHING but the weapons are going away and even then you will not be able to focus weapons or unlock the bonus chest with tokens anymore making rewards drastically worse.

The entire Hall of Champions is going away including:
Shaxx and Arcite quests and Shaxx vendor rank rewards
BRAVE chest to give additional weapon drops
Parade armor chests that give high stat armor for new/free players
Weapon attunement focusing
Super Black Shader
"Shiny weapons"
Title Seal

The only thing that is staying is the game mode itself and it randomly dropping the brave weapons without the chance of being shiny.

I am okay with paid seasonal content being rotated out because I understand that is what I "sign up for" but the hall of champions should be a permanent free the play feature that I can actually point friends to and say look at this cool thing we can do instead of another of Bungie's "too bad, you had to be there" moments.

I mean if there's no parade armor and you can't attune , then there's no point to the hall of champions since that's literally all you do. Parade armor and superblack are coming back at a later date like I said so what you're saying isn't true. Seals being time exclusive is normal and you're not losing anything gameplay wise, and shiny weapons were advertise as being a limited edition variant with no real gameplay differences.

But why delete it? Just why, explain it to me. For lore reasons? Don't make me laugh. The developers have so badly brainwashed their players that they have accepted that removing any content is okay, not realizing that there's no benefit to the players from it.

What, someone at Bungie would have a mental breakdown over the fact that new players could continue to focus weapons from Onslaught, get armor, and get a black shader in an understandable way, rather than a "someday later, sometime in a couple years, we haven't figured it out ourselves yet" way.

But why should the armor chests, weapon attunement and shaxx vendor go away?

Key word being "at a later date" which means its being removed in the first place and we don't know when it would come back but if people come back for Final Shape and then go looking for Into the Light content because they heard so many good things about it then they're not going to find it because "whoops you had to be there."

But why? We've been asking for a "new rarity" for a long time as something new to chase like artificer armor but they're taking it away so soon solely to get people in the game now to farm them and every day people are play is another day they think about Final Shape.

They're already removing the attunement option so even if shinnies stayed they would be even more rare so what is the harm in keeping them?

I understand all your points about the gear and game mode still being around and accessible but that doesn't change the fact that Bungie management is still deleting content that has no reason to be deleted.
