So when can I put any weapon in any slot and run two energy weapons?

Well, you can run stasis and strand weapons in slot 1. So you kind of already can.

Why do you need two energy weapons? If you want two primaries then use two primaries or if you want two special weapons then use two special weapons. If there is a specific combination of weapons you want to use then just use alternatives that are essentially the same thing but in a different slot.

Why would you need an arc primary? I get wanting an arc special weapon for the blinding explosions but what do you need an arc primary for because if its for amplified then why can't you do that with abilities or your special/heavy weapon?

Easy on your last quote.. You dont quite seem to get the idea here :D Majority of weapons has a counter weapon to it in the kinetic or energy slot. Forbearance has Tusk of the boar which is a Strand weapon used in the kinetic slot. So your idea behind the forbearance + ikelos IS possible. Just with another named on the kinetic weapon. If you absoloutly need to have an ARC weapon in your energy you got plenty of other arc adds clear weapons. Tusk of the boar can compete with forbearance. Ikelos smg cant. Using a strand weapon in your kinetic also applies a Strand debuff if you got Slice on the weapon so you can utilize the Strand artifact mod. So i dont see why you are crying about this?
