Are the most recent dungeons/Raids farmable for the exotic

I am already pretty sure that dungeons/raids are only farmable if they are weekly but my friend will not stop arguing that they are. Personally i don't wanna waste my time farming for something that i know can't drop so i would appreciate if someone could set this straight with proof

The most recent raid and dungeon are not farmable for new loot.

The most recent dungeon however can be farmed for loot you've already obtained.

That only applied to Grasp of Avarice, all the dungeons since have been fully farmable for legendary drops when they first released.

Cool I could never keep up with nor remember those changes other than Prophecy and Grasp being farmable with strings attached.
