STOP GIVING RAID WEAPONS TO CASUALS!!!
First it was the wishes, and now Bungie is making raid weapons (Forbearance and Succession) acquirable via a playlist activity!!!

Raid weapons should be what they're, RAID. WEAPONS. if you don't raid you shouldn't get them.

Do not make the game more casual than it already is, this is a slippery slope imo, first they make a weapon or 2, next thing you know the entire raid weapon pool is acquirable via a casual playlist activity.

If it annoys elitists then keep on doing it.

Raids in any game are overrated

I mean, OP is not wrong. Why not give everything at start of a new character right in the first place. Just click in the gun database catalog. This community jesus f. christ.

If something isn't working it needs to be fixed. Raids never worked for an overwhelming large part of the playerbase. Everyone has access to get the guns they want-> better balance in crucible, iron banner, gambit the whole lot. And that's a good thing.

Mind you, I have over 6,000 hours up on the game and just couldn't be bothered because it's a rubbish raid.

... you farmed Kalli for a week straight? Why?

Go back and read the post.. WEEK END

While I get the sentiment; elitism and gatekeeping are never a good outlook for the long term life of a video game.

Yes. However, the funniest part is that the OP is an average player at best like the vast majority of players but in his head he's a member of an "elite club". Raiding in Destiny is dead and the game needs to change. Hell, even craftable seasonal weapons are better than the majority of an "elite raid loot". Fanboys are just fanboys.

The funniest thing though is that nobody is running these "great raids" after getting weapons/armor.

Demonstratively not true. Feel free to visit the Destiny 2 LFG Discord server to find others ready to run whatever raid you're interested in. Granted it ebbs/flows with the rotator being more popular in any particular time, but raids and dungeons both are still regularly run.

Because heaven forbid we who are disabled should be able to play games we bought and paid for same as any ablist elitist a.hats
already way too much parkour and missions i will never be able to accomplish here. With no alternate routes to accommodate disabilities.
I would happily climb and fight thru miles of ALT routes just to see what is at the end. but will never finish or see so many of these mission endings unless a friend streams for me to watch BC none of these ablist elitist crap-hole games will give any consideration at all to the disabled community.

the raids are not even hard, the weapons are not exclusive to people that are "good enough to obtain them" they are exclusive to people that grind 6 man activities, that's all. I don't see a problem with them releasing raid weapons like this. You can still flex your raid version of these weapons and nobody will care now just as they never did

Exactly! Hopefully it helps them out in thing like GMs, where you do have to be decent player.

Lots of people did, it was the most efficient way with the least amount of work to get all the deepsight patterns for all the last wish weapons.

Raids have always worked, it's the players and not the content that is the issue here. Raids are designed to be coordinated group activities and whilst many people are unwilling to put in the time/effort to find an appropriate group and/or learn the mechanics that in no way means the raid doesn't work. At the end of the day roads aren't for everybody just like Crucible/Gambit/[insertwhateveractivityhere] aren't for everybody amd there's absolutely nothing wrong with that.

Meh, unless it helps a specific element, like say gives you an overshield if you kill an enemy with a Void debuff....stuff like that, otherwise an Auto Rifle, is an Auto Rifle, they are all basically the same, only differing by Fire Rate and their perks.

A raid weapon doesn't mean its good unless it has perks that non-raid weapons get.....

I have never done a raid in Destiny or Destiny 2, never will, i have seen a twitch stream of them doing a raid....it was too long, too long winded and honestly, the loot they got was crap and not worth the time.

Shh you're not allowed to bring logic in the forums or bring up other things like farming the secret chests each week for free loot.

You need to unlock the weapons first aka do the raid for the loot to drop from the secret chest...you just debunked your own argument mate.
Join a rhulk checkpoint, kill ads, shoot rhulk, get a forbearance drop, farm chest each week.
