tips on cheesing mida multitool masterwork?

just got the catalyst like many others who haven't already thanks to xur. I was expecting it to be like the sturm and have to get x amount of kills with the multi tool and x amount of kills with the mini tool, but 200 headshot kills in the crucible??? is there any way to cheese it or am I just gonna have to put up with pvp as it stands? I do have the crafted calus mini tool, but the synergy is kinda one sided

As to why the catalyst is the way it is is because you could only get it through maxing out your competitive rank so it also had a pvp objective.

very good advice, but I don't see the latter being an excuse to force pvp into catalysts

Destiny 2 year 1 was a very different game and year 2 was pretty much when they stopped having forced pvp quests and be glad you weren't around for the Last Word and Thorn quests.

And for that reason, it'll remain the ONLY catalyst that I've not completed.
