Has Ergo Sum become the new Edge Transit?

I have so many rolls vaulted I have no idea if its good or not as I never use swords but it drops like candy in the Pale Heart

What I don't understand is you can't create this weapon from collections even though you can with other exotic weapons with random rolls.

It is a random roll so no just like you can't pull hawkmoon, the new class items, or the old dead man's tale from collections. There are many combinations for Ergo Sum which is why they "drop like candy" and its up to you to decide if you want to keep some.

Alright yes sure, you *can* pull Hawkmon from collections but it'll be the "first" initial "roll" that didn't drop a bonus trait such as outlaw, those came from running the mission additional times, that is why Xur sells a different random role of Hawkmoon each week.

Randomly rolled exotics are not new.

I wish the exotic class items dropped like candy instead. Or we got more random roll exotics than just a sword.

I wish the exotic class items dropped like candy instead. Or we got more random roll exotics than just a sword.

I have farmed "The Landing" and found a class item drops in about 50/60 chests which is about 30 mins, plus i do some OT. Ofc double drop glitch is prob quicker and easier.

What are you talking about? You're comparing a heavy weapon ammo economy to a special weapon ammo economy... Ergo Sum can basically be used as a primary weapon and has some good perks. Sure it doesn't drop bosses like a god roll Edge Transit but it not meta does not mean not useful and besides it can be the gjallarhorn of swords so in encounters that can use swords having a wolfpack rounds Ergo Sum is definitely meta.
