Armor Synthesis
So each Season we would get 10 per class, were now on episode and they are still listed as 10 per Season?

ok, fine fine, but there are 3 episodes per year as opposed to 4.
meaning you would need to wait EVEN LONGER to get more armor synthesis

Will there be a refresh each act? are the 6 (2 per episode * 3 episodes) in the battle pass suppose to make up for 30 missing armor synthesis? (10 per class * 3 classes)
If that is the case that would be a loss of 24 options we no longer get

What's Going on here? we got pathfinder robbing us of Bright dust, and now were getting robed of armor synthesis to now?

TL/DR
from:
30 total per Season (10 per class)
4 Seasons 120 total (40 per class)
to (potentially):
32 total per Season Episode (10 per class + 2 for any class)
3 Episodes 96 total (30 per class + 6 for any class)

Edit:
Thanks to Divide for making a video about this issue.

We got a free reset for Into the Light, they've also added some universal synthweave to the season ranks and they may give some out for later rewards like they've been giving out deepsight harmonizers in some quests.

Most armor in the game looks pretty meh though, so realistically, how many do you really need ?

I'm still rocking my Season 2 ornament set. Best titan armor in the game.

Agree with that for hunters and warlocks but I need so much titan armor.

I agree with you, but I find it kinda odd. Whats the point of having the game be F2P if F2P has basically nothing? And then there actively doing less then what was the norm.
Just my thoughts.
Also it might be flawed but in the number I can up with, looking back at it, just one of the universal armor synthesis is in the premium so I mess up there.

One off boost in place of less for a new norm? I mean it was nice but the season was also extended, and even still now, the predicted norm seems like there will be less.

We don't know the "new norm" all you have is conjecture based on a few weeks of the first act of the first episode. We don't know the rewards for other episodes, we don't know if they'll add them as quest or festival rewards, and we don't know if Bungie will increase the bounty limit in the other episodes to account for the missing "4th season."

What I know is that we got a "seasonal" refresh around the time Final Shape was supposed to launch so if we're talking strictly based on time as in the year and not "episodes" we'll have gotten a total of 4 refreshes with Into the Light basically being a 4th "Episode 0."

True we don't know what the future is, but they haven't shard anything with us at all about this. So I'm just sharing my thoughts on what I can reasonably assume is going to happen. Also that's half the point out of this, if enough people talk about this maybe then bungie will share some information with us (any content creators, your help would be nice). Right now going off of there silence I can assume that everything is laid out 'as intended'.

personally I feel the that was to compensate Season of the Wish (S23), not the final shape. Season 23 was 7 months long, if there was no refresh that would have been an absurd amount of time to wait for a new Season/Episode to drop.

Game has to make money somehow. Developpers need to eat.

F2P games will always be quite limited and vehicles to get you to buy things.

They have already increased the annual cost of there DLC from $80 to $100 from 4 seasons to 3 episodes. dose anyone remember before we had dungeon keys? also don't for get about that $100,000 shader that 2 people actually bought.
Any way I can list a bunch of things, but what I'm saying is F2P has a portion of the game, and it only seems to be getting smaller as time goes on. On the other end P2P has has gotten more expensive. There are people giving them money, and shrink F2P you gotta ask, at what point do you just remove F2P?
We got our first ever destination that you have to pay for, Pathfinder replacing Bright Dust bounties has you work more for less, and then this.

1. DLC annual passes have almost always costed 100$
2. There's nothing to remember about the times before Dungeon Keys considering the 2 dungeons we had at the time were both free and bad.
3. That 100k Shader was earned in 2023 by Donating money to the Bungie Foundation which all the money would then go to Direct Relief and the International Rescue Committee.

a) inflation affects everything eventually b) episodes are supposed to have more content, seasonal content was generally about 2 months long while episodes are supposed to be 3 chunks of 1 month,

There was no 100k shader sold in the game, 2 rich people donated enough to the charity drive to receive unique rewards.

"Free to play" in this game has always been a demo and they just made the Shadowkeep and Beyond Light campaigns including stasis free to play permanently so no they're not "shrinking f2p."

Not really, I only have to do essentially 5 bounties instead of 8 for some bright dust and I can do it all on my main instead of needing to play each character.

Nah iirc the *full* prices of Shadowkeep was 60, Beyond Light was 70, Witch Queen was 80, Lightfall was 100. Witch Queen had a + 30th anniversary option that was 100. Anyone actually paying these prices either just don't know or throw money away as plenty of legitmately retailers offered competitive pre-order discounts.

It is a shame those never got updated considering they're a main selling point for the dlc now. Imagine if Shattered Throne wasn't so dark and the final boss arena and health bar was big enough to support actual phases or if Pit of Hersey had an engaging boss at the orb room instead of 10 minutes of boring ad clear.

What is the point of the above video? First he says we're getting less bright dust but then later shows a comparison where over a year we're actually getting over 50% more if done optimally based on what I assume is conjecture. Also the pvp/gambit requirement note is irrelevant now that they've changed it.

The point is to firstly make the distinction clear, and secondly show bungie that we do not like this so that they might potentially change it. Given there track record they have shown us many times that they do not care, and I'm starting to care less about them.

What distinction? That with the new systems we can get 50% more bright dust?
