Class Exotic Items

Is it just me, or the amount of effort and grind needed for this is just borderline ridiculous ?

I haven't even tried it because I have no one to try it with, but watching a video about the steps to take to even get the mission is just weird.

Even worse, completing the mission with someone else is MANDATORY. Like, Bungie, please, I'm a solo player, enough with the coop focused missions.

is this bait? it doesnt require that much effort and the game is a co-op online shooter so you're missing 70% of the content with that statement anyway

There are only a handful of good exotics, those few good picks are either not in the pool or are watered down versions, that means it's mostly mid versions of good perks and mid versions of mid perks so mid perks and dog dookie perks.

So you are not really missing anything by sleeping on it. Plus they are ugly as hell and can't be transmoged.

It's just frustrating to be forced to do so much for so little.

This expansion was pretty good until this point where you realize you will never get the exotic class items if you are a solo player. Sad days, no respect for solo players. Just make a regular exotic mission like all the others in the game, final shape ruined for me because of this.

I like how people begged for an in game tool to use so they would be able to do stuff like Raids, but then complain when they need to use it

Trueeeeeeeeeeeee I'll never understand the "hardcore" solo player mentality.

Like it is known that the endgame of destiny usually requires other players and if you cannot even find ONE more player you should just find another game.

It is a one time exotic mission, it doesn't take that much more effort than the usual exotic mission, find someone on fireteam finder, hook up a mic, figure out the simple mechanics, get it done. You can farm additional class items from chests in the Pale Heart location.

I remember thinking this constantly but then I got so mad at the Truth exotic rocket launcher quest when it came out (it required a nightfall that didn't have match making back in the day) and I finally said "fine I'll figure out how people do this and it was like a whole new game opened up for me now that I could do group content.

There is no such thing as a "solo player".

Everyone can join fireteams.

I have been a solo player for years, only doing raids or dungeons on a few occasions through LFG, I'm a solo D2 player through and through. But I really wanted the exotic class item, so I hooked up my mic, made an LFG, got a super chill dude who helped me out (I didn't know the names for the symbols so I had a picture up on my phone lol) and finished it pretty quickly.
I know, it is difficult when a solo player, but just try lfg and being open to learning.

The pre-mission steps (killing all 3 hive enemies) can be done solo, and the mission itself is very easy. Learn the mechanics beforehand, and LFG someone to breeze through. Had like 17 minutes left at the end.

I honestly found it pretty fun, but yeah lfg with random people would be painful.
People do some REALLY dumb stuff.

Every time I try to do the last part of an overthrown I get the error code "weasel" Id love to do all the grinding but i simply cant even play. Researched everything and done loads, bungie says its a network issue yet my discord doesnt go down and my brother who is in same mission on same wifi doesnt go down. Both using ethernet cables, internet is amazing on everything and is always good on destiny, is around 500-600mpbs always. No idea why this error code is a thing thought I fixed it earlier but now its done it again, was really enjoying TFS but this has ruined the experience for me. Have also submitted a ticket but god knows if they will look at it.
