Vendor Challenges

So is Banshee the only Vendor with challenges now? I already did Hawthornes but she didn't count.

Edit: You can just do it on 2 characters. Banshee is the only one who counts.

Replaced by "Pathfinder" which can be found in the lower left corner of the vanguard, crucible, or gambit screens.

So anyway - the reason I ask is because once you get your Guardian Rank to level 5, you'll see a challenge that requires you to complete two of these "Vendor Challenges" and I would have assumed that I was meant to wait for next week to do Banshee's again, but I see a lot of people already past rank 5 which makes me think there must be another one which hasn't been replaced either.

Ah, then I guess so.

Rank 5 is basically the floor once you reach it and if you've completed higher ranks in previous seasons then you get "short cuts" to higher ranks.

Your previous rank also carries over to the next season cosmetically so if you got 9 last season you'll show as 9 to others but if you only get 8 this season then you'll show as 8 next season.

Does it mean to "complete" a pathfinder to reset it? I have gotten all the way to the end and still don't have the 1/2 completed

Please note: Resetting it didn't complete 1/2 progress so I have no idea how to progress this any further

I have also tried running all 9/9 weekly vanguard ops (1945) and also this didn't mark it as complete either. Seems bugged unless there is another way to earn this

I'm not sure. I did all 14 of my pathfinder clears without that issue arising. Sorry that I can't help more.

Nope, I just rush to the end and whatever extras I can nab are free xp. is there a bonus for doing every node?

The solution is to make a second character. But level 7 is completely locked unless you have the annual pass + expansion

It's an oversight by the devs. The only weekly vendor bounties that qualify for the guardian rank is banshee's weekly. So essentially it will take two weeks to complete this step because of the update to bounties.

Ranks are a counting metric that shows you can jump thru hoops that you can safely ignore

You can complete his weekly thing on 2 different characters.

False. Aspects, fragments, weapon mods, and armor mods are locked behind guardian ranks up to rank 7. Rank 7 requires owning the current expansion at minimum.
