Dawning ingredient drops

I feel like bungie nerfed the drop frequency of ingredients. Is it just me or do you guys notice it too?

Sure, you can get the upgrade to get extra cookie ingredients from completing quests but its just not as satisfying to see a crap ton of ingredients pop up after clearing a large group of ads.

People say this literally every year, its only day 4 out of a 21 day event, you'll have more ingredient than you can use eventually of course you'll notice when you have zero ingredients when you want to do the quests right away.

drop rates for slow recharge stuff is abysmal and new players need 5 to unlock armor mods

no. i meant literally ppl cannot use the meta to speed up supers until they are rank 5, your opinions been noted but were losing returners tryin out legacy

Going out and grinding specifically for Baking Materials is the worst way, just play casually and by the end of your session you'll be filled to the brim with ingredients.

A) we're not talking about guardian ranks
B) Ranks 1-5 are basically the tutorial, you don't "need" mods and you don't need to be meta at rank 5.

Nah, that's just a hollow argument. How would returning players know to care about the meta? Why would they care to find out? Shouldn't it be about having fun in a good story environment first, and then once you hit some point in the power progression 35 hours, in, then we can talk about access to meta farming builds. But no one who is returning to the game after time away will care about meta-gaming in their first 3 dozen hours. Heck, back in the bad old days of Guild Wars, it took people 300 hours to start considering the meta when speccing builds only to then get laughed at by jerk-Mesmers who played meta-meta. If you hit grinding walls in those first few hours that are insurmountable enough to want gaming with your brain off, then you should go back to playing candy crush.

it is day 7 of the event

the highest ingredient i have is balanced flavor (278) and second highest is chitin powder (270)

the lowest ingredient i have is finishing touch (14) and second lowest is personal touch (19)

yet i dont care because the bottleneck was, is, and always will be; dawning essence. i got 238 of it rn which means i can only bake 26 cookies with it. with 20 cookie types available there's a very low chance i will only get eris cookies in all 26 bounties.

dont complain about the ingredients, complain about the essence

as some players mentioned: dont grind for the materials, its just pointless and in al cases, by the time you hit the second week you wil be drowning in materials. i know i always have.

last year by the end of week 3 i crafted about 114 cookies for zavala as i didnt want to run around like a headless chicken to hand over said cookies.

fun fact:
when lance passed away, i held on to a couple of those cookies, only to find out they were gone at the start of this event, wich made me a bit sad :'(

Zavala was proud i kept them cookies, however, when he tasted them he said, and i quote:

"guardian, i appreciate the effort you had put in last year to bring me all dem cookies, however, if you ever try to give me cookies again that are infested with the worst case of mold i have ever seen, i will personally disable your ghost and slap you so hard, youre going to wish that the witness just deleted you, you hear me?"

i know for a fact that this year he can shove them, however harsh it sounds, but im boycotting zavala this year for the remaining time the dawning event is up :D :D

I mean instead of baking one type of cookie just to use up the essence farm the repeatable bounties from Eva for baking a specific cookie and gives you experience and bright dust along with a few ingredients and essence back.
