Are there any negative Commendations?

I noticed that playing certain ways gets you different commendations. I am wondering, are any of them used for negative? Like the jester Steam awards?

Asking because I noticed doing certain things makes people award specific ones.

Beause its more fun to give the lowest K/D player the play maker commendation and then in raids I give them the commendation in the order of the end screen.

Bungie tried to be cute with the categories and it just ends up being confusing and irrelevant. I would've liked stuff such as "clown, hero, leader, sweat, clueless" as those are things I can clearly assign in a raid and know what to expect from someone but the internet likes to only give out participation awards these days and avoid negative things. Youtube used to show the thumbs up and down ratio but that was too negative so there's no way to judge a video's quality at a glance anymore.

I would've loved to see negative commendations too, but bugnie doesn't want us to make enemies in their friends-only game. 🥴

I like your commendation ideas, definitely would get both sweat and clueless myself.

Yeah it's weird. Topping PVP tends to get either Playmaker or Best Dressed, never the other one and topping PVE tends to get Thoughtful almost 100% of the time.

Personally I give out best dressed to the actual look I liked best, and everything else largely at random. The actual commendation descriptions are not only fairly generic, they are pretty meaningless, since what type you get doesn't impact anything.

Gambit should have some anti awards. For instance, being the last person that needs to bank, have 15 motes on you, goes to invade, dies.

But, if they had negative ones, I would get my fee fees hurt because I never got gud LOL

I give the best dressed to the one that looks like they put some thought into their appearance and the other two are random, unless everyone looks bad then they get the others.

Those rare cases I think someone earned a bad one, they get nothing. I think that MIGHT have been twice, one I can think of.

nearly all can be misinterpreted someone with only good looks could get best looks, but also the guy with the best gear.
some one just afking the thoughtful one, but also the guy saving his super/heavy ammo for the boss.

This. Though I do very rarely find I don't like anyone's outfit but my own and man, it can be tough to choose best dressed then. 99% of the time this doesn't happen though.

If they wanted to sell more skins while also hooking people in on fashion, it'd be kind of cool to have a part of the tower where you can get cinematic camera angles and lighting to look at your own drip or other people's. Seeing our armor in cutscenes or at the end of activities is really where they tend to shine anyway. Unless someone is wearing a well known Exotic armor piece; I usually don't notice their outfit mid mission. It'd both potentially help their bottom line of selling armor skins and be really neat in general to be able to really gawk at Guardian drip with some camera angles, your guardian doing flourishes or poses, and letting us view ourselves in that crisp cutscene quality where our appearance is dialed up to 11. But hey, that's just me.

Back on topic of the commendations; I have no idea whom did what best by the end anyway. And some are pretty nebulous, like being fun or kind. Given Destiny 2's effectively ignored in-game communication, your teammates may as well be A.I. teammates with a random value assigned to their inteligence.
