Slug Shotgun, like Heritage maybe?
Or a fusion rifle like Riptide.

overflow controlled burst on shattered signal, or a slug (heritage or supercluster)

If you want a "primary" weapon, I like Lodbrok-C, or maybe Legal Action II (AR/Pulse Rifle) you want rapid-fire. The Lodbrok is slow-firing but will stop almost anything in its tracks. There don't seem to be as many kinetic weapons for the primary slot these days. They're there, amidst a sea of strand and stasis ones, but you have to look carefully, as I'm sure you know.

But you seem to want something bursty, not "yet another" rifle. If you prefer handguns, maybe Austringer (hand cannon) for sheer stopping power. Or for quick, "Get out of my face!"-type moments I *love* the Wastelander M5 (looks like a sawed-off and has decent Handling/Aim speed). The new Ragnhild-D is also a nice shotty, but slower firing between shots.

Finally, if you'd like something more lightweight that still packs a punch, you might try the Boudica-C. For a sidearm, it's surprisingly powerful and does the trick most of the time, esp. with precision shots.

But I guess it really comes down to what type of weapon you like or feel comfortable with the most. I'm sure you already know this, but there are some cool sites that you can use to browse weapons, like Light.gg or the Foundry. Sorry I don't have more to offer, but I'm a returning player and I cleaned out my vault recently. But the ones I've mentioned work well for me. Good luck. :)
Not exactly burst damage, but also look out for a Disorienting Grenade GL. For the slot you are looking for, that would The Militia's Birthright, Lingering Dread, Pardon Our Dust, or if you have an old one laying around, Ignition Code.

I am a big fan of weapons with Osmosis. That way a can have 3 weapons in synergy with my build. For example 3 solar weapons instead of two and one other.
And 1 kinetic for all my builds if i so chose.

Firefright and Lodbrok-C are great.
My crafted Firefright works well with all my builds.

And it's real fun to have your kinetic weapon shoot Arc, Solar, Void etc and all that comes with it. Lots of good dammage.

Oh, Ignition Code *rocks*! I second that. I also second the Osmosis trait. It's beautiful.

Heritage, Succession, or Supremacy with Kinetic Tremors. All very good swap weapons that I personally use a lot.

are there any "osmosis-trench barrel" shotguns for the kinectic slot?
Mastodon_2 Dec 12, 2023 @ 5:15pm
Slug shotguns are good for smashing down elite enemies, but my money is on Scatter Signal, the new fusion rifle added this season. Ok, it's Strand damage, not kinetic, but they do share the same slot.

Get one with Controlled Burst on it, or even better, Overflow and Controlled Burst and you're set. Demolishes tough enemies and even does decent boss DPS once you've run out of heavy.

Personally i would bring Nox Perinnial IV or Scatter Signal over Riptide because of the controlled burst, giving it some serious damage boost.

Riptide is an excellent anti champion option, but its lacking in killing power.

Wastander M5 comes with both Trench Barrel and OTP in 4th column, making it a good alternative to heritage if you dont like slug.
