If there is any difference in elevation, at all, it's as you describe. Even the glitchy invisible gaps in some older areas will cause it to happen. You'll swing past the enemy and ruin the entire combo.

What I do is toggle it for something like Crota DPS, so enjoy the clean 144 until damage when I swap to <60.
what does framerate has to do with lament dashing through stuff btw?
Oddly some have tracking. If you happen to sword skate you know what I mean. Most annoying when trying to yeet yourself and you do a 360 degree turn and wack a thrawl outside of FOV
