I don't give a ♥♥♥♥ if you spent 5k hours in Destiny, i'm also a day one player of D1 and 2 and stopped playing because i hate the seassonal games besides Path of Exile, now you tell me, why would you defend this crap?
I answered your Question, but usually Destiny players don't have good arguments about why the game is actually "good" and why the positive reviews are deserved, i would like for once to speak with a real human being and not a D2 slave that just plays the game because of the FOMO
Game used to be good, even great, maybe even the best of its genre. But it all started to go to hell around the end of the Shadowkeep expansion. Content removal, increased focus on the microtransaction store, battle passes with seasons that can't be good since they are fundamentally made with the idea that they will be removed from the game in the future, paid ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ dungeons.
Now if I look back, the only good and memorable things about this game were the raids, dungeons, exotic missions, and one (ONE (1!!!)) story campaign. And half of it, if not more, can't even be played now.
Oh i see, that actually makes sense, so i guess the "real" reviews are the most recent ones, from people that actually play the game, even though the "this game is like cocaine" jk became way to popular and a some people rated the game positively because of the grind, which is certainly not a positive aspect of the game, not because grind in games is bad, it's because the grind in D2 is not good
Yeah i can see that, people that grind the Endgame every seasson usually burn the ♥♥♥♥ out of the game and i don't think seassonal events is enough content to keep players engaged, i don't hate the game, i just don't understand why people is so keen on defending it, when your fav game sucks you gotta admit it, even if it hurts, good live service games more often than not are built from the users feedback, so if there is people always defending every decision Bungie takes, this will outweight the feedback from the players that actually care about the game
Not all of them ,funnily enough the game has more recent possitive reviews than negatives, you can check that out for yourself
Jokes aside, just because something is bad doesn't mean people can't enjoy it. I'm not gonna defend Bungie, I'm not going to claim it's the best game ever or make a gigantic argument as to why "it's actually criminally underrated and the devs deserve your money." But I've played it for a few years, I still play it, and I'm going to continue playing it until the game is shut down. Why? Because it's the most fun shooter out there for me. I know the DLC is "over priced" but I would rather spend $50 on something I'm probably going to get a ton of hours in than spend half that much on a "quality" game that I'll play for 7 hours and be done with
Problem with the D2 community, or at least the majority, is people either hate the game and won't allow people to enjoy it or they enjoy it so much they defend every single action and think bungie is the best company ever. That's why I take the middle stance.
Yeah but compared to OW2 for example, i think people is going too soft on D2, both Bungie and their fans needs to open their eyes, i have seen so many players defending D2 like Bungie is paying their children college
