Are all Hive evil?
Is there any Hive who reflect on their beliefs and desert their ideology?

Or are they like a magical evil that can never turn good?

This would be like asking if all Eliksni or Cabal (including the Psion) are evil. Not sure if you were around during Season of the Splicer but there was a very interesting point Misraaks brought up about us Guardians Saint-14 included and how the Eliksni saw us.

Their worms need tithes in order to continue living, so yes, they are a sort of magical evil that forever craves violence.

Fynch is really the only example, but Fynch is also a Ghost, which came from the Traveler.

It sounds like you consider morality like "good" and "evil" to be objective, but it's really not, especially when considered by anything short of an actual deity. For example, in Witch Queen, Savathun tried to hide the Traveler in her throne world, which would have cut off the light from humanity and almost certainly caused their destruction. However, she did it to hide the Traveler from the Witness, who we also consider to be a villain. Is such an action good or evil? Do you think if she had reflected on her beliefs, she would have acted differently?

Do you consider Sword Logic evil? That is their main idealogy after all, but it is simply the belief that the only the strong survive, taken to its conclusion. Not really different from such real world beliefs as "this is a dog-eat-dog world".

Lastly, there is their Worms to think about. Hive must feed their worms, or they are increasingly driven to feed it, like a growing hunger. If a Hive did "reflect on their beliefs and desert their ideology", that would mean they would stop feeding their worm, and I don't think that wouldn't last too long. They would have to deal with their worm first, like we spent an entire season doing for Savathun, so its not a simple matter.

Just learnt about the worm.

Yeah, there's no way the Hive can coexist with us. xD

Unless... *puts nerd glasses on*... A mutation in a worm happens which makes it not need to kill living things to survive. Instead, it eats various non-living forms of matter to grow and evolve.

Witch queen dlc spoilers The hive were a dying species and the traveller was on its way to bless them with the light just like it did for humans. But the hive were manipulated by the witness into thinking the traveller was an enemy and that the only way to survive was by ingesting a worm and feeding it by killing (The sword logic). So yeah TLDR, hive are magically evil. But keep in mind, the traveller went to the hive before it came to us humans. If the hive didnt reject the traveller, humans would never get the Light.

Theoretically they could, assuming their worms were removed from the picture (which is theoretically possible, savathun had hers removed i think)

i'm sure if Fynch brought his guardian back he might be able to be an ally(which i really hope happens, i want fynch to do stuff again)

The worms make them inherently evil

For the most part, they're totally ideologically against the player

Evil is a matter of perspective: https://youtu.be/0B9v8VoZrMU?si=4ctz7YVGFcPRbg9L

But to answer your question yes they're "evil." Even now with the insatiable hungry that drove them to constantly kill gone and now being fed by the Light (even the thrall are fed now) they still *want* to kill to become stronger.

You can take the Hive out of the Sword Logic but you can't take the Sword Logic out of the Hive.

Tbh really they're like a loaded gun always ready to kill but its the decision of whoever holds it for example Savathun and Xivu Arath.
