Lost the annual pass with Cross save
Hey guys, I'm coming back after many many years (I left in Forsaken expansion).

I used to play on PS4 but I'm now on PC, so I bought everything for Steam, the 3 expansions pack (beyond light, shadow keep, witch queen), and the lighfall + ANNUAL PASS, very expensive pass by the way. I made a new character, had the season pass active like normal, then later I learn I could use the cross save feature to play with my old characters from the PS4 version.

So I did that. I linked my accounts. Now I can play with my old PS4 characters on PC. Great.

Except now the game tells me I don't have the season pass. On the cross save configuration page on the bungie website it also says I don't have an active season for Steam. But on Steam I definitely have the very expensive annual pass in my list of DLCs. I have no idea how to fix this, and there is no way I pay for the pass again, everywhere I look it says the season pass should be active on all platforms. But it isn't. So what is the fix ? I'm not gonna let them steal 75€ from me.

Why not ? Maybe someone here had a similar issue and can help me. I did post on bungie.net, but their forum has extremely low activity.

The issue is that lightfall + annual pass is on your PC save which you've overwritten with your PS4 save with cross save. Disabling cross save will bring back your PC save.

So I can't have the annual pass and my old characters at the same time ? I don't have any DLC on my PS4 save except Forsaken, it didn't overwrite any of that, just the annual pass. In fact, I can't even play Forsaken with cross save, so it knows damn well I'm on steam version and it knows exactly what DLCs I have. What a garbage feature, why overwrite the season pass for absolutely no reason. Thank you anyway, guess I'll have to start from scratch, or get my money back from steam. Can I even do that ? Get the money back only for the Lighfall + Annual pass, and then get Lightfall without the pass ?

Hi again!

I did see your thread and responded on it. However, for clarity, I would like to note that there are certain situations that Destiny Player Support can provide assistance in this regard.

My best recommendation is to not deactivate Cross Save at this time.

If I deactivate Cross Save now I'm stuck for 90 days, so I'll wait and see if this issue can be solved another way. Thank you for the quick response on both forums.

So apparently I f*cked up. I shouldn't have created a new character before doing the cross save thingy. Now my season pass is associated with the new "group of characters" and not my old characters from cross save, and there's nothing Bungie will do about it.

Now my question would be, can I get a refund for lightfall + annual pass, and if so, how can I do ? I'm not familiar with steam policy on this matter. I think I have like 14 days to get a refund or something ?

Within 2 weeks, less than 2 hours playtime is a 100% refund. Anything after that is on a case by case basis.

I have more than 2 hours but I asked for a refund for Lightfall + Annual pass, hopefully it be be accepted as I intend to buy it again immediately after refund.
As I mentioned earlier, I highly advise that you do not do anything at this time. If you filled out a contact form, Bungie will get back to you.

Requesting a refund will only make the situation worse.

I was going to contact Bungie but their support page specifically mentionned that they will not transfer the annual pass on another group of characters if I made a mistake with Cross Save. What should I ask and do you suggest I cancel my refund request ? The refund/rebuy feels like the only solution to my problem.
As I mentioned to you in your previous thread, please fill out the contact form I provided.

Cancelling and repurchasing the content will not give you the annual pass and the dungeon key a second time.

I canceled my refund request on Steam and filled out the contact form on Bungie.net. I must say I am not very hopeful.

If repurchasing the Annual pass wouldn't work, at the very least I could refund Lighfall + Annual pass pack and just purchase Lightfall and forget about the annual pass. I would be ok with that if nothing else will work.

Anyway, thank you very much for your time.
