d2armorpicker can not be trusted?

So what option do I need to change so this tool does not fool me?

What do I mean?

I have a setup and I checked with d2armorpicker if he knows a better combination.
He is suggestion all the same items just I should exchange an arm armor piece with only a total of 54!
I am like, why everything the same just the arm is different? right?

Mine already has 64 total without upgrades.
On top of that, mine has 40 points distributed among the 3 major stats discipline, recovery and resilience.

The other one has only 25 in resilience and 2 and 2 in the other two. which is like 10 less.

Which I dont understand why would you go with something like that and waste so many points?

Because you choose stats like that and its the best combination with no wasted stats by default. Delete all armor that is below 64 total, problem solved

Raw stat number is irrelevant when you're trying to get specific stat distribution. That piece could have better stats you want versus a higher raw stat piece with wasted stats from bad distribution.

Fyi two are two stat categories, mobility/resilience/recovery and discipline/intellect/strength. You can only have so many points in each of the two groups which means of you have 25 resilience then you're not going to have much in mobility or recovery.
