So I dodged a bullet by not getting back to Destiny 2 this year ? Someone got a list of problems or a video showing how this game / DLC bombed so bad.

I really enjoy this game and this expansion. I just wish they had some synthwave in the new game area, to go with the 80s style

well, the overwhelmingly largest amount of reviews (good&bad alike) were given before all content was released so i'd take those reviews with more than just a grain of salt...

the biggest "problem" is probably that people expected a lot more from what ultimately is a step-bystep guide on how to use the new power" but is disguised as a new campaign.
Anybody who played beyond light could/should have expected that.
Multiple bugs that have yet to be fixed and the introduction of new charecters who are not cayde-6 didn't exactly help either for many players to like this content.

if you want to decide for yourself wheter you like it or not i would suggest either watching some streamers or to playtest it yourself to see if the new game mechanics and the new location is as terrible as some reviews make it out to be

The story is ultimately a tutorial on Strand with some filler about Neomuna. Outside of that though, the gameplay has been generally well received.

Yes - there is a guy called Nimbus who completely doesn't look or feel like he is related to the Destiny Universe. Neumona or whatever the new place is called feels like I'm playing Cyberpunk.. like wtf?

They really took a turn with game and I'm not sure where its headed

ive been playing since 2018 this is the worst so far, worth every bit of the negative reviews it gets

That's shame the story sucks they did great with the last two stories are they still using the same writers?

Bungie reworked mod system, reworked some strikes, reused common enemies but made them take more damage and deal more damage, added systems like commendations and ranks that feel poorly thought out. Lots of stuff are not going over well with the players. And the DLC was short and the most expensive price tag to date.

That sucks and it's like 100 dollars for the damn expansion too. It's a mix of Triple A with F2P model , shame how far bungie has fallen.

I dodged a bullet too sadly and did not buy in this time... might just watch from afar as a new era of Destiny comes after Final Shape. Having all the dlc, I never noticed the content that is locked behind paywalls but I see it now to some extent when I go on other platforms.

WIth the "new" content this season + dlc, I was not too happy with the cabal and the season grind being the same. Playing hardcore for a full year+ of all season content drained the life out of me (I only played after work and a little on weekends....)

That and the nrefs to survivability too. That extra 15% damage reduction helped a ton. I aint playing destiny to play a COD or darksouls game.
