Any point in buying The Witch Queen now?

I go in and out of Destiny and just happened to want to get back in around the time this new DLC (Lightfall) hit. I'm not sure I want to waste money on Lightfall DLC that seems over priced but is it too late to buy The Witch Queen at this point?

I'm mainly wondering this on two fronts:
1 - Has any of that content been removed with the introduction of Lightfall?
2 - Is there any good gear from it and are the stats still relevant, or is it left behind?

I'd definitely recommend Witch Queen over Lightfall, you're honestly not missing much and Witch Queen's story and location are way better imo.

Nothing from Witch Queen was removed except for some powerful/pinnacle gear sources which were purely a number game to make an increasingly pointless number higher but the loot itself is still there including the high stat armor sources.

The throne world weapons themselves are fine and a good addition to any arsenal but there are a lot of replacements you can find but Vow of the Disciple weapons are awesome if you can farm the raid regularly like once a week.

the seasonal content from WQ was removed, but not much else. its also a really good expansion in my opinion so yeah

"Required" dlc are Beyond Light and Light Fall cause those give u access to new subclass, the rest including Witch Queen give u story campaign/missions. Weapon wise seasonal content which contain some of the strongest crafted weapons is already gone so u'll have to deal with world drop or Witch queen drop.

From what i heard, witch queen is better. Currently its on sale.
