It's up to your specific needs ingame but you can also refer to sites like DestinyTracker for popular usage. Light gg shows popular rolls and builds.

What ever you want, you can use light.gg to view what the weapons can have and pick the weapons you think you'd want to use.

It's pretty subjective, but as I recently made a list of seasonal weapons I wanted to craft (basically all of them), here are a few highlights:

Season of Risen - Piece of Mind, Thoughtless
Haunted - Calus Mini Tool, Austringer, Epicurean
Plunder - Tarnished Mettle, No Reprieve
Seraph - Ikelos SMG, Tripwire Canary

My highlights are based on uniqueness in either type or perks:

Risen: Explosive Personality is a wave frame if you need it, Recurrent Impact for a bullet hose machine gun, Under Your Skin for a versatile energy bow.

Haunted: Calus Mini-Tool for exploding enemies, Austringer for craftable kinetic hand cannon, Firefright for a craftable kinetic auto rifle, Beloved because while I'm not a sniper rifle guy its a great sniper rifle.

Plunder: Blood Feud for a melee smg and Brigand's Law for a volt shot side arm.

Separh: Ikelos SMG less important now with warmind cells going away but still a good smg and can have volt shot, Ikelos Shotgun has some interesting perks, Disparity for desperado perk, Judgement of Kelgorath for demo + close to melee combo for a grenade and melee focused glaive.

yeah it does depend, im still on the solar bonk (melee) build from the haunted season so I have a calus mini tool with incandescent. Try and see what weapons you like and if they work with your character build.

You should try synthoceps with the new glaive and the proper sentinel aspects and fragments, lots of melee, lots of weakening grenades, lots of damage reduction and healing.

Nezerac's Whisper (Haunted) is the only legendary Arc glaive, if you care about that.
