I Know Destiny Recently Had Discounts
But what are the odds of another discount run on the older DLC when Lightfall Releases?

Would really like to get myself Witch Queen Deluxe because I got myself Legacy Collection as a new player, thinking I would not get invested in the game. But it appears the Destiny bug bit me and I am invested and everyone talks good about Witch Queen DLC compare to the rest.

Probably not until the summer sale. I am not sure if steam usually has some sort of spring sale around Easter, that may be the next time.
*Edit Steam Spring sale is on March 16th through March 23

Crapness ... I guess it's okay. Still have lots to do as a new player with my Legacy Collection. Will keep me busy until then. Thank you.

With about 1000hrs on Warframe, I really don't mind grindng as my Warframe is completely f2p, never used cash to progress anything at all other than Cosmetics.

There are other places to buy games besides Steam, shop around. I see WQ for around $20 (40 for deluxe)

I wouldn´t recommend buying Witch Queen deluxe anymore. The main point for deluxe is, to get access to all seasons of the year and the year ends with the launch of Lightfall.
But you also get access to 2 dungeons.

Deluxe has some content hidden behind it ... which I don't like. I want the content that comes with Deluxe because I don't want to be locked out of not doing stuff

The content of the deluxe version are the dungeons, which can be bought separatly, the seasons, which are going away in 39 days and Osteo Striga, which is or will be available for everyone in the future.

Steam has shifted their major sale structure so that there's one major sale in each quarter.

The spring sale should be March 16th to March 23rd.

That should be a big, store-wide sale.

And.. .daveyboi beat me to it ... c'est la vie! :yawp:

It's possible the older stuff will go on sale when Lightfall launches too.

So if Seasons are going away, that means it will be cheaper? Cause it gives Seasons 13-16 or something, and we are now in 19?

Or how does the Seasons work because you get all previous Seasons

We're now in Season 19 (under the Witch Queen expansion). Feb. 28 the new expansion "Lightfall" will be released, Season 20 starts, and all the previous Seasons unter Witch Queen will go away. There should be a sale for older stuff when Lightfall comes out. So definately be on the lookout (put it on your Steam wishlist, so you get the notification). If you then still want to buy the Witch Queen Deluxe edition, I guess it also will be cheaper as you cannot play the old seasons of Witch Queen anymore (they get "vaulted").
Witch Queen is one of the best expansions compared to the legacy ones as far as I heard.

If you want to play Seasons, you might think about buying Lightfall + Annual pass and play along "live" during 2023 , though it's very expensive at the moment : / But it also will get cheaper later in the year. I bought Witch Queen Deluxe last year when it already was out for 3-4 month and got 20 bucks off + sale.

But why does certain expansions still sell with "Previous Season Content" if the Season is over?

I guess they mean certain dungeons, raids, seasonal exotic armor and weapons and some old side quests which are still playable. To be honest, Bungie's sales strategy is crap, confusing and stuff is very overprized for newer players. I'm a newer player myself, "only" playing since spring last year and from all I've read what to buy first, the answer was always: buy the newest expansion first and play it live as much of the old content got vaulted. This resulted in absolutely not knowing wtf is going on story-wise etc. it was a pretty horrible experience lol. I played with friends, otherwise I would have quit, I guess.

Here's what is contained in Witch Queen and will go away as far as I know:
Each season you get a new weekly story quest (7 weeks long) and a new vendor with a bunch of seasonal weapons and armor to chase with seasonal activities at certain destinations (which mostly get vaulted later). There are also always new exotic weapons and armor (later attainable by other means when the exotic quest has gone away for example, e.g. at the exotic kiosk at the tower or by farming lost sectors). In the Deluxe edition you also get the PAID season pass with a bunch of more stuff in it (materials, engrams, xp boosters etc.) and the endgame content stuff (e.g. dungeon)
I am not sure, how much you can actually still play of the weekly story, if you don't buy the expansion - maybe others have more experience with the game and can answer the question. Maybe it's not even worth buying the season passes or all inclusive deluxe editions - but you will get locked out from some content which is very annoying. And if you buy dungeons extra, you still end up paying the same or even more, if you later decide you want a season pass to make your grind easier.

I bought Witch Queen Deluxe and thought I'm set for playing everything, but I cannot chase certain exotics or play certain Nighfall Strikes for example as I don't own Beyond Light and Shadowkeep. Pretty disappointing.
I'm still not sure myself, if I buy Lightfall with or without the Annual Pass, tbh. The game is fun, but also a rip-off. One would think Bungie makes enough money already with their micro-transactions / overprized cosmetics.

Hope this helps.
