Get Witch Queen or wait for Lightfall

New player her that only started 2 days ago I already finished the beginning quest and I really like the game but I’m not sure if I should buy witch queen or wait for Lightfall I don’t have the money to get both so only 1 is and option I would wait for Lightfall but I’m scared I’ll get bored of D2 and stop playing and then stop playing a great game what should I do?

Well, do you have "Beyond Light" already? Start with that one, then "Witch Queen", then "Light Fall". Makes sense to play in the order they released; may help make sense of the story progression and when you eventually get to Light Fall it might be on sale. ;)

I would say wait for Lightfall. There aren't any core mechanics locked behind the Witchqueen purchase, like Stasis is behind Beyond Light, and Strand will be behind Lightfall.

Wait for Lightfall. I'm sure you can live without playing some Nightfalls, dungeons, and so on.

entirely depends on the rate at which you consume content... really at this point since forsaken and the redwar MSQ are gone the witch queen story quest is about all there is... there is one for newlight and beyondlight but they arnt worth it imo one is just introduction the other is just a proxy for a the long grind for the stasis powers.. the witch queen MSQ is much like original destiny 2 redwar/forsaken story stuffs... if you can complete that I guess rather fast and want some stuff to grind for, up to you.
so TLDR
get witch queen (yes, atleast for the story quest and to make some weapons)
anything addtional id wait on unless you somehow blow through all that very quickly and want to unlock some of the weapons thats gonna go away when lightfall hits or the current seasonal activity.(which has some nice weapons btw)
also I think ull probably need the forge anyways.. I doubt lightfall if gonna just completely forget witchqueen exists, destiny doesnt work like WoW does

There is a hell of a lot more in there than just gaining Stasis ability.

Well, you can take a look at Mez's excellent guide, that might help you find stuff that's available to you that you haven't tapped into yet.

If you can only afford one of them ... well, depends on whether or not you can afford the Deluxe version. If you can afford the Deluxe version of Lightfall (with the Annual pass), then I'd suggest waiting for that.

If you're only planning on buying the basic version of either, then it's a bit more of a tossup. I'd probably still lean towards Lightfall, but we don't actually know the specifics of what it's going to be about yet.

Once Lightfall is released, the "Legacy" product will probably have WItch Queen rolled into it. The Legacy campaigns are usually discounted some, and the Legacy bundle does usually go on sale at least once a Season.

So ... you might have a chance to buy all the older content at a discounted price some time in the next two or three months. Whether or not you want to count on that does depend on your personal finances though.

Buy Witch Queen's regular edition if you just want the story, as we are that close to the release of Lightfall.

You can just buy access to the dungeon content from the season using the in-game cash shop by just buying some silver, recommend grabbing them because the loots kinda tight.
