Something special for those who've never used the darkness

Honestly, as cryptic as Bungie is I really wouldn't be surprised if the guardians that never used darkness get something special. Just speculation or could that actually happen? Would love to hear your take on this guardians.

No. Why would they create a reward for not playing the game? Destiny 2 doesn't have an "honor system" like a story-mode game would.

We talking in-game or in lore? In-game no, you're not gonna be rewarded for not using the Darkness.

In lore, the Guardians using Darkness and Light have a much better chance at surviving the upcoming war than those solely using the Light (same for those that forsake themselves and only use the Darkness).

And what is wrong with using the Darkness? Even the vanguard has eventually grown okay with it being used and even Lord Saladin allows it in the Iron Banner. The past few years have made it very clear that its just another tool to use like the light and the darkness itself isn't evil its the voice in the darkness or now who we "know" as the Witness. Light and Dark are two sides of the same join and the light and dark aren't good or evil.

Fun fact: the stasis nerfs are canon.

The only thing that not using Stasis tells me is that someone doesn't own Beyond Light or maybe they do but didn't bother unlocking it.

I doubt they would. Bungie probably wouldn't give people who don't use the darkness something exclusive, due to e.g Stasis (soon to be Strand as well) having had hundreds of hours into it's development, design and balance, as well it would decrease their sales of darkness subclass expansions, which any company would not do. I think if they did do something like that, it would be the other way around, it could be a gun that has a light and dark mode, only being accessible for the dark side if you use Stasis or Strand (or any future ones)

That makes literally no sense. "Let's give something special to everyone who never bought Beyond Light or Lightfall! We'll even include Witch Queen since you are technically using darkness there too. Those people who have never bought our expansions deserve something special :)"

i have stasis on my titan but i cant be bothered using it and unlocking the fragments as its just a chore to do

Come on, you gotta at least get cryoclasm to slide through crystals, that's pretty much behemoth's identity. Diamond lance is a lot of fun too because it will spawn from stasis primaries as well and you can just have constant lances.
