new iron banner
the fact that you need to play 20 matches to get a level up to get 1 engram is a joke plus you dont get anything from the rounds you play ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ fix the game and bring back the old iron banner loot system i dont wanna have 200 hours of iron banner playtime

You don't need 20 games for an engram if you equip IB gear to increase the rep gains.

Doesn't help that ive played at least 15 matches and only gotten 1 piece of IB armor :steamdeadpan:

Why does anyone still play Iron Banner? For the longest time there was no point as there was no good loot to chance anyway. Has that changed?

The same reason people play any of the games activities - seals, triumphs, seasonal challenges, collections, cosmetics and some even just enjoy it.

20 matches? I have to assume you're not using any of the IB gear or Emblems for the score multiplier.

For reference (for anyone who was unaware), you can also just convert items you've gotten before into cosmetics and that works as well.

Put on a Iron Banner Emblem and then use the "Universal Ornament" feature to unlock Iron Banner Armour Ornaments to equip to your current Armour.

Then play 3 matches with the subclass type it says on the Iron Banner Icon to complete the challenge.

All that will help to boost your rank, but it is still painfully slow, I have played about 5 games and only have "240xp" out of 10,000 needed to reset your rank!

If the ingame statistics are correct, doubt it, it feels more like half the winrate. Was getting +145 rank exp on avg with 6.6 multiplier

That is 69 matches to do a full rank reset, if i can maintain average winrate of 40%. Shudders, If it drops to 20% which it feels like really :D...

That part I wish they would change. If people blow through all of the challenges on day 1 then so be it; it only lasts for a week and shows up only twice per season now so timegating the pinnacles is asinine.

If you have any old IB armor then transmog them and apply it to the current armor piece. IB armor + ornament counts as 2 towards the boost.

Weird question: Is it just me that I get a Blowout rocket launcher after EVERY IB game? Sometimes even 2 if we win. They are totally useless, and I get maybe 1 out of 25 games a non Blowout weapon from the IB lootpool.

And second part: I dont know how you do it, but if you are not a Titan this game mode is hell. I am almost at resetting it once and I REALLY want to get the shader, but no way I can play so much in just a few days to complete it...

Yea, everyone is getting 1 if not 2 Blowout rockets each game, rarely IB Armour or Weapon which is sooo dumb. The shader requires 2 resets which even stupider, but that's Bungie for you. You can always just reset it once this week, and wait the next time IB comes again
