Dude...come on, we can still do beyond light, shadowkeep, and witch queen, don't be that guy
Rising Light: About an hour with Shaw Han so long as you don't log out and log back in and you get confused because you get thrown into a seasonal quest mission
Beyond Light: About 4 hours since you're going to be power crept to hell and you only focus on it. I'd say another 3 for the "extras" that come after (reclaiming Europa, getting all the variks upgrades, etc)
Shadowkeep: Probably another 4 hours, maybe a touch more because of the nightmare mechanics. Also has a lot of "post campaign" quests and doodads
Witch Queen: Four hours for the normal campaign...for legendary campaign? Depends on skill level/build and whether or not you're willing to bring a friend or two. Also has a lot of post campaign quests
In total if you do NOTHING but campaign missions, you'll complete the main content in a weekend
Edit: Seriously? A clown award? Why?
2-4 hours each, more if you're struggling, less if you're speed running.
If you include the fact that side content and Raids are technically part of the overall story of an expansion, double that.
The story missions are also only the tip of the iceberg in this kind of game. For example say you play through the witch Queen story then now you've got a new match made activity to grind, 2 exotic weapon quests to do with one being a mini campaign, there is the raid to do each week, the altars of reflection, powerful/pinnacle gear chase, in game achievements to unlock the title, and an other side exploration there is to do.
I'm pretty sure it's fear because he got called out for lying lol
I didn't pay for the initial game to "just" be able to experience content that Bungle feels we should have access to at that given time.
I will die on this hill, Vaulting content is lazy game design. World of Warcraft has been out for damn near 20 years now and, other than the Cataclysm, hasn't changed access to anything. Even with the Cataclysm 95% of the original content is still present, and they had a very good reason for doing what they did.
The vaulted content needs to return and Bungle needs to figure their ♥♥♥♥ out and stop being cheap with their servers. Charging what they do for these expansions they should be more than able to afford it.
I don't disagree with either of you. I think that vaulting was a bad idea and a better solution should've been figured out before nuking it
However my response was to the person saying "none" which is clearly false knowing we have three "campaigns" (Shadowkeep, Beyond Light, Witch Queen) and one "campaign quest" (Rising Light)
That's why anyone who didn't get a chance to do the Legendary Cloak questline in MoP can still access that item and the part of Timeless Isle that cloak is required to reach, right?
The only thing I'd mention is that these figures also depend on what you consider part of the story content; Beyond Light's Sabotage objectives alone would probably double the length of time for that expansion if you include them.
Witch Queen well that depends on what difficulty you are playing it on and if you are solo, or in a team with 1 or 2 other people because that can vastly increase the time.
Look at the enemy health etc in the new Seraph mission when you have 3 players compared to 1 or even 2, and that is what every boss was like in the Witch Queen campaign.
The "Scaling" is stupid when you have 3 in a team, to the point it's easier by miles solo in a game all about playing as a team!
