Most weapons can be found as random drops in the wild. However, there is a way that you can get a bow to drop from the Wellspring activity when the weapon is the daily reward.
Completing the Witch Queen campaign grants you access to the Wellspring activity, which is a 6 person activity that has the chance to drop a guaranteed weapon. One of the weapons in rotation is the There is also a bow available on Europa, that you can also obtain over the course of the Beyond Light campaign.
For a complete list of available bows, please check out the link below.

The fastest way to get one would be to buy the Forsaken pack (included in the legacy collection) to use a cipher to unlock Le Monarque from the monument kiosk.
This thread reminds me of a time right after Forsaken came out that Banshee had thrown a Bow Bounty at me before I'd even gotten one. Think this was also around the time before there was a single Legendary Trace Rifle.
The Wellspring activity is a six person, match-made event that takes place on the Throne World. You can do it after you complete the main story campaign for Witch Queen. It's repeatable.
It alternates between "Attack" and "Defend" and it has several preferred rewards which also rotate. (There is a Bow, an Auto Rifle, a Grenade Launcher and a Sniper Rifle. All of them are from the basic Witch Queen collection of weapons).
You can look at the front page of Light.gg to see what the current Wellspring activity is. Currently (as of this writing) it's Defend and the reward is Father's Sins (the sniper). That'll shift daily.
There are lots of sources for Bows, but most of them are random.
There are also a few Exotic bows that can be purchased from the Kiosk in the Tower, although the prices on those will be expensive for a new player.
There may be others in the Dares of Eternity lootpool but we won't know for certain until we've had a full rotation. Biting Winds stands out as once you have Variks' bounties unlocked through his sabotage upgrades you can farm the bounties at any time. Similarly as mentioned already you can farm Wellspring for Fel Taradiddle on days that it's available.
This is probably the worst bow in the game though, the reticle is tiny and the bow blocks a huge chunk of your view.
Probably Strident Whistle or Arsenic Bite, since Trials is an endgame activity with a large gate to pass before you have access, Wellspring requires getting through the Witch Queen campaign, Biting Winds needs a bit of progress through the Beyond Light campaign, Lunalata's completely random, and Garden's a raid.
Dares of Eternity and Vanguard Ops are both F2P activities you can jump into right now, with the former being generally more useful in numerous ways. :P
Just do random stuff like Xur's weekend strikes - you can buy a legendary engram with shards, then with the reward thingie after you finish the strikes.
I do strikes, special events but at times when I have a left over planet or gunsmith bounty and don't want to do more strikes, I just wander around doing stuff. Sometimes lost sectors will finish up a bounty faster than just wandering around.
Sure sometimes I just get socks and shirts but other times I get exotics. Check w/vendors you have access to also. Some offer stuff for sale and there is usually a second page with stuff.
You can participate in events and lost sectors on planets that you don't own the DLC for, you just can't buy bounties.
If you have the current season theres a bow reward to work for there. If you have Witch Queen like you say do the missions for weapon crafting and one should give with a red outlined bow for you to get a pattern to extract and craft.
